Looks kinda weird. You've got the techniques it just looks strange, like something you built just for fun without thinking about gameplay. The bases look awkward and the boxes with crossed fence walls don't seem to have a purpose. There also needs to be more cover, the map is too open. Overall it seems you had some interesting ideas but you didn't consider playability. Your interlocking is a little sloppy here and there too so fix it up. I don't really like this map but you did an OK job... 2/5
I think it deserves at least a four. The interlocking is very good in some places, but other places not so. Suggestions for v2 Place more cover throughout the map practice with interlocking and geomerging flip bridges over Looks good tho, You have a wild immagination
I like that you used geomerging and interlocking but the overall map seems to lack substance. Both sides where the bases are are really empty with only small structures and the big one in the middle appears to be hard to access from the ground and therefore a great camping spot and also with a potential of spawn-killing. Gameplay looks a little shabby but keep it up!
lol i tested this and took the pics for him. when i played it it was 3 man ffa with his bro, him and myself.i like the layout and it was pretty fun but scince they wrote the status quo im afraid this might get deleted if i dont say anything about improvements so kilospere as mush as i like this map i gotta say it nedds more cover on the first base. hte other side not so much but more would be usefull. also you might want to lower the sniper and over shield spanws just a little but thats about it. ps your bro is a kill stealer ps again how excatly did you make the frames around the br's?
It's great I seen you've used a lot of my maps ideas. I don't really care but, the exact same thing can sometimes get offensive. I'm not saying you can't place a certain box at the certain angle but, seriously, you even put the same weapons on it. Whatever, just try not to 100% copy. Looks like a decently clean map. It looks like you put a lot of effort into the center wall of the map, but not the bases on the east and west walls of Foundry. Maybe take your time a little more, it'll get you a lot more downloads. I'll look at it on forge and see if you have spawn areas correctly placed. 5.5/10. I'll edit this post later into a quick review of what I thought of the map. Lol please people, Is it really healthy to say you'll download a map, and then not download it. The only download on this map is from me, about one minute ago. Sorry, I just find that a lil low. This deserves to be tested out, just like you would like your maps to be. Real people really don't care about your FH rank, honestly, it's what you post, and if it's reliable.
i no after main structures its hard to fill the space but it need something maybe make it smaller... MLG... or maybe this is just how u wanted it.... oh and try building larger cover if open was your intent
the map inst very aligned good geomergin may want to flip those boxes, make the bases neater, back inthe base i see crokoed barriers may want to flip bridges and interlock the stairs witht he box, to elimenate any bumps the maps seems kinda open
Emphasis by Kilosphere1337 On a first not i will talk about the map thread. Although you have included pictures the thread does not really sell your map as best as it could. There is little description and nothing in the way of weapon lists or recommended gametypes. The map itself does contain geo-merging and interlocking however its use seems somewhat sporadic rather than a constant. The exterior wall is a perfect example of this. It has just been placed together and looks kind of sloppy. The wall is also escapable so the map is not completely secure. The importance of interlocking and geo-merging and its prominance in almost all maps now mean that it is also a required thing to gain attention to a map. Interlocking and geo-merging give unrivalled smoothness to levels and allow you to create much more interesting structures. Where you have interlocked you have done interesting things such as the border for the BR. I feel it would be better if there was more extensive use of it. In terms of the map layout. The central divide certainly works tobreak the map into its two distinct halfs but the halfs themselves are incredibley empty. They is not a lot in the way of height. It feels very flat and frankly, im sorry, boring. the two sides are definately different to each other and one certainly feels more sustantial than the other so from a competitive standpoint it is not massively balanced in this sense. The weapons are largely balanced because both sides of the map have the same weapons on them. I think the BR's would be the only viable weapon on this map as its open nature effectively make dual wielding pretty pointless. I checked out your CTF settings and Slayers setting curious as to what you have set the map up to play; this should really have been in the thread. The CTF flag spawn and return points are both in their original places and you have not placed any Strating points for Slayer or CTF games. Leading me onto spawns. The spawns in this map are rather few and far between but clumped in a couple areas. The lack of starting points on the map means that if someone did want to play a game of anything on the map potentially they might spawn outside the map or just in random places. Not really very competitive. I think the best thing for you to do would be to check out all the Forging 101's found on the website. Found HERE They are invaluable in helping people understand many of the aspects of forge and will definately help you make better maps. Even though a lot of this post has been negative i hope you find some use in the comments i have made and that they help you in any future maps you build. I liked it at first but I started looking at more pics and it became more and more obvious to me how open it was. The structures are really cool but you have to put effort into the entire map not just a few structures and leave the rest basically empty. Sorry but this map gets a 3/5 from me.
