Dragon This is my first aesthetic map i've ever made, so keep that in mind. This map is the head, neck, and wings of a dragon. It didn't really take too long, but I'm pretty happy with the outcome. Its neck is made of five corner walls, interlocked to my happiness. I ended up running out of walls while making the head, so I had to use signs, which sorta turned out well, I think. And just so you know, the teleporters aren't there to hold the signs down, I know that they're immovable. They're there to cover up the holes in the signs. The eyes are made of Two-Way teleporters, so you can actually see them. I even put a flamethrower in the dragon's mouth, just so he could blow fire. I hope you like my map! Forging 101 Techniques Used... - Floating Objects - - Interlocking - I think that's it As you can see, I ended up using man cannons for the horns. There weren't any immovable objects that were long and thin. A back view of the head, just in case you were wondering what it looked like. It's not the neatest part of the dragon, if you hadn't noticed. A closer look at one of the wings. Inside the head.
mm.... no. Sorry but that doesn't look much like a dragon to me. Check out the featured map Ire of Fire and you'll see where standards are up too. Good job following the posting rules on your first try! Welcome to forgehub.
i didn't know dragons had round heads thats new to me but there is much to say besides very unrealistics
I agree. i think the dragon is severly lacking aesthetically, the head is ok, but the body, and tail are too boring. it's good that you interlocked and stuff, but the truth of the matter is that all the other dragons we've seen such as Shenlong Dragon and the more recent Ire of Fire were just more well made than this. sorry... rating:1.5/5. wait... not the tail; the wings... i didnt know that the "tail" was really a wing.
The Ire of Fire comes out and suddenly BAM! Everyone tries to make a dragon. This is getting to be one of those overused things like duck hunt and such. And yeah, doesnt really look like a dragon. Good try, though. By the way, long, thin immovable object? o.0
Of course thats wrong, Up to stadards is a decent ma, not one fetured, a feture map skies above standars and is in a leage of its own, just like ire of fire is, its not fair to compare all aestheni maps to maps like that, I see the dragons head, but the body is whats lacking, alkoing with the wings.
Let me tell you, its sloppy, and its not a dragon. It looks like its dead and sleeping. 2/5 and NO DL. Make it look better!
Thank you! I don't understand why people say that. I mean really, I said its my first aesthetic, and I even said it wasn't amazing. And also, unrealistic? Hello, dragons aren't real! And anyway, I didn't make this map because of Ire of Fire, I got the idea from a friend. Edit : and I forgot to say, i know that the body and wings aren't very good, I didn't spend nearly as much time on them as I did on the head.
Ire of Fire=awesome dragon dragon=lame dragon wings are wierd, head is flat on sides sloppy not too bad for a first post but keep working on your forge techniques...
Your right. I shouldn't compare a new members map to featured maps. I really just meant for him to see where peoples expectations are.
Well, you didn't take long to make it, but that isn't an excuse, this map is simple, and basic, you could've made him stand up or something or just made it some more detailed, as for newbies, it's pretty good, no offense.
Everyone is comparing this to the Ire of Fire. Please don't. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And yes, it's not the most original of ideas since it was done in the Ire of Fire and Shenlong Dragon did it before that (and two times is even a stretch) but I don't find it very respectful to blatantly say that this guy hasn't created something of quality. I really think this has potential. Creating something on foundry that even resembles what it was moddled after is very challenging. I certainly see a dragon here. It doesn't matter if it isn't the most realistic. The purpose of a dragon is for people to have a common fantastic entity to think about. This thing even breathes fire. Awesome. I'm giving this map a 4/5 for taking the challenge of creating an organic creature with perfectly straight objects.
