The Dark Knight v.2 Created by Heroic Hamstar Supported Gametypes: Kill the Batman Beginning Note: Yeah, this is my first actual pretty good map so there is no interlocking. It would have been filled more but somehow I ran out of room even though I had infinite money.... Map Description: The Dark Knight map was semi-inspired by the best movie ever, can you guess? Well, anyway, you can see certain elements from the movies in the map like the Batcave, the Warehouse where Harvey Dent was held, the slums and railway from the first movie, and the bank. The humans start out in a room and just have to go forward to get weapons. From there they have 30-40 second to hide/fortify themselves before Batman can get them. Scattered across the map are a number of hiding places to stay in. Who ever is left standing gets get 200% damage resistance, gets 3 points, and turns purple to represent the Joker. Oh, and i forgot to mention you only get 1 life, so.... yeah The Zombie "Batman" gets 200% damage resistance, poor camo, is fast, and can jump high. He can also pick up weapons. So if the party leader deems it necessary, he can establish an honor rule to forbid Batman from picking up any weapons outside the Batcave. Within the Batcave is a gravity hammer, 2 frags, 1 plasma, 1 spike, 2 firebomb grenades, about every type of equipment and a chopper (Aka the Batmobile). He spawns onto some custom power-ups that slow him down for about 30 seconds and then goes on to the Batcave and gets anything he needs. Then he goes around and kills people. haha that's a cool idea, but i don't think giving the zombie(batman) a hammer is such a great idea, considering the over powering of it. you should make another version and interlock some boxes to make some cool city like area.
Wow for a map that you used no interlocking in this is pretty good! I love the batman theme but shouldn't the humans be batman and the zombie be the joker they look more "in charactor" that way but oh well it's still original. When you said you budget glitched it i thought you cut off part of the map.. but you gave everyone all of those weapons . You're gonna get flamed about that but i don't really care so.. Maybe for a V3 put less weapons and budget glitch it in spots where people can't get the weapons. For a map without interlocking it's pretty good so 4/5 Keep Forging! P.S. 1st Post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never mind someone beat me too it -.-
First off, great idea! I love the concept and it really seems to capture the ideals of the film well. I do have a few suggestions. 1) Not so many weapons. Putting so many right next to each other serves no purpose and just eats up your budget. I would reccomend using only movie themes weapons. For example, have people start with pistols, give batman a mauler maby(?) and have that truck the Joker uses contain a rocket launcher. Use your imagination, but those just a few of my ideas. 2) The map itself looks great how it is, but it doesn't look very "city like". You could make the actual map something like "Gridlocked" but with interior areas. I like the slums and think you should keep that, but go crazy and makem really spooky and run down! Fence boxes would really work well in the slums area, as well as wire spools and firebomb nades! If you can't remake the city you could also try to center the game around the wayne manor...might be more straightforward. 3) Try to keep everything as simple as possible. I see a few teleporters and shield doors; I reccomend sticking to the urban feel and not using any alien stuff. Also, to kick a dead horse, I feel that in order to make this map look its absolute best, interlocking is required. Don't go overboard, but smooth surfaces always add to a map's value. 4) With the current settings, I feel it might be too easy to win as Batman. Perhaps give him only normal shields, while removing everyone else's. He could be slightly faster with a much greater jump hieght. As for Joker...regenerating grenades anyone?
