No Man's Land Created by TrueDarkFusion & TheYavimayan As I promised I would return with a map by the end of Friday night. Welcome to No Man's Land soldiers! Players spawn outside of the map on Snowbound in one of two bases under heavy artillery fire. Players must fight from their base to the other making the best use of cover possible. Players spawn with shotguns, but a few other guns are available for use at the back of the base. Warning though, the weapons are low on ammo and have a longer respawn. This is with good reason though. Players spawn with 4x overshield and 2000% damage resistance in order to make the artillery fire less effective (although it still packs a punch). Now you ask why the limited ammo? Well instant kill is turned on! This setup makes for hectic battles between the bases. The game is best played on a variant designed for the map. I suggest using Trench Wars (Team Slayer) designed by TheYavimayan and myself. Download No Man's Land Download Trench Wars Variant
I agree with what AZN said. I downloaded this map a while ago, before I joined here, and I have to say its one of the more fun Forge maps I've played. However, it has some spawning issues, when playing with more than 4 people. People dont always spawn outside the map, and then they start "cheating" ... Anyways, its still a great map, I like.
On this map I'd recommend you just play normal Team Slayer with starting shotguns, it works really well and has a unqiue feel to it. It's kinda boring if you play with the gametype.
Eh this is one of the older maps that has since been removed from my final share. Lucky for those who want to download maps can still do so thanks to Bungie's file archiving. I believe they archive all maps that have over 100 downloads.
I thought that the map was a lot of fun because of the way that used instant kill to enable the turrets to do damage, but it lagged the whole time I played. I guess there was just too much action.
Personaly i think the map has some major potential, it brings back the clasic get your A@# moving or die feel while bringin tacticts of world war 2 into action.or at least veitnam hit and run gorilla tactics. :squirrel_rant:
I didn't quite understand the point of having overshields with no health but it's still a pretty fun map. You do have to have a dedicated team though. Oh and I would suggest turning gravity all the way up as I got out of the map a few times.
I'm glad this map was brought back up to my attention. I forgot how much fun I had playing this. I highly reccommend this to those who haven't tried it out.
i had no idea that this map was made by you guys. its was fun, but i had no idea what was going on when i played it.
i like the gametype but i hate how easy i die from the assault rifle, it was fun but my only real complaint is that everytime a plasma battery got hit the game would slow down and start "lagging"
epic action all the time, slightly annoying with the sound of the turrets going but cool thinking. great minds obviously think alike because i made one of these as well but much more confined. good use of the whole length of the map
