Fail on Wheels DRIVE FOR YOUR LIVES! 2-6 Players By Zee-V70, original concept from || SemiLegit || (Not a user here), originally k070n. Basically, Fail on Wheels is Hog Wars on Rat's Nest, in the cliffside area. The other parts of the map are sealed off so as to only allow the fun on the cliff. People start in front of a Warthog, and have to get in it to attempt to knock people off the edge with their Warthogs. It would have supported up to 8 players, but people take advantage of the Gauss Warthog turret and simply blow people off the edge with the explosive force. 4 people is [typically] the best. 10 seconds in, Mancannons spawn on unused Warthogs to knock them off the edge, as well as people who are trying to camp by the edge so as to knock Warthogs off. 1 minute in... well, I'll let you figure that out yourself. Practically little to no honor rules are required seeing as you can't just hide behind a light post (interlocked Double Boxes block off those little areas, making a rectangular cliff arena) and Grav Lifts are held by weapon holders as those areas can not be harmed by Warthogs. Teleporters spawn inside the open Double Boxes, just in case. They all take you to a Reciever Node below the death barrier (8D). You can't do damage, so you can only Splatter, pretty much. It is possible to get into the Suicide State on this map. Notes: You do 0% damage. 10% damage resistance, no shields. 25% Speed and 200% Gravity to strongly encourage Warthog driving, although you can dodge them if you're skilled enough. 1 minute in, EVERYONE DIES. No exceptions. You can highjack, but remember--both of you are out of the vehicle for a short time. You lose 1 point for both deaths and suicides, mainly to remind you that you're supposed to fall off; because of this, you can win with 0 points. You get 2 points for Splatters. Now, for the part that everyone skips to: the screenshots! The Right Side is shown in this pic. Pretty much the same as the left side. The Left Side. See above. It's a 5-car pileup. Really not that much to explain. Press R or Z twice to do a Barrel Roll! One minute in. Note the Mancannons. Oh, and by the way, the Armageddon isn't a "cool, we can play provided we just don't trip any Fusion Coils" thing; a single Fusion Coil falls from the sky impacting the center of the mass of them, basically annihilating all who are still alive. Very rare is it that one survives the Fusion Coil onslaught. Yeah, that's pretty much it. Download Links: Fail, the gametype required Wheels, the map required Have fun, kiddos!
first off, there is no 'z' button on the xbox controller anyway, this is pretty nice, i have seen better ones though, minus the mancannons and coils, but good work, its very clean, 3/5
looks not too bad. would be better done where theres more than one edge to fall off cos u could just 'camp' in a corner. 3/5
pretty good its only sorta REALY unorigional, but you amde it neat and interlocked, unlike 95% of these maps which use just imovable objects you did add some nice twists, the man cannons and fusion coils
I really like hog wars. I used to play it in Halo 1 and we called it bumper cars. Nice scoring system. With ingenuity, one can actually escape the map though. There are areas that can be jumped to with stacked warthogs. I think i will actually make something similar myself. Great job.
You can't camp. Teleporters and Mancannons are spawned at the beginning in areas that are not used as starting points, as well as possible areas where you could hide. Yeah, it works. You lose 1 life per death (getting blown up or splattered) or Suicide (falling off the edge or getting in the suicide state and hijacking/hitting someone), therefore eliminating the scoring issue. However, you get two points for splattering, just in case some nobcake figures out to hide and can only be killed by you dieing as well. Thanks. Also, no, you can't escape the map unless you're EXTREMELY lucky and survive the Fusion Coils and they end up blasting you on top of the boxes/light post or something. All possible ways out are sealed. Oh, and with high gravity, it's near-impossible to make a Warthog stairway on top of the map with just 6 Warthogs and [typically] 5 other people who splatter you in the process. Thanks for the comments, everyone. I know it's unoriginal (to some extent), but this one's near cheat-proof (some things can't be helped, despite how few there are) and is also utilizing the majority for Forging techniques. I just got lucky that I could put an Open Double Box around the light post to avoid other methods (geomerging mainly, aaargh).
Thanks. Although I dislike gloating, this is most likely one of the most "advanced" monster truck games out there, being inescapeable and whatnot. Also, the sig took about a billion effects to make. I'm working on a better pic for Fail on Wheels atm.
