New Halo 3 maps?

i can't wait for more maps

 

it's gonna be sidewinder or blood gultch/coagulation

 

I am also starting to think this. The first thing that came to mind was Sidewinder after reading the first line. But, as others have said, it is also my favourite map from the Halo series.

 

The last one sounds like a CoD4 map.

 

Cottonball sounds exactly like SIdewinder. Sooo many similarites:

• anything else would be comical without vehicles (vehicle map)
• not-quite-perfectly symmetrical
• Some natural geology prevents each base from being a simple mirror image of the other
• the map is set on a Halo
• that hearken back to the days of the original Halo
• surprising vehicle or two (Most likley tanks)
• wonderful shortcuts – natural and mechanical – (the teleporters on the cliffs)
• There are two bases

This sounds really similar to me, and I wonder what they would replace the ladders with?

• The nighttime sky of tombstone
• The use of the word "'em" in the description

Its not much, but that picture makes me wonder...

OK Corral (I have no idea... but for some reason I can picture something from Sierra 117)

 

The map codenamed Cottonball gives me an impression that the area is snowy. Sounds like Containment from Halo 2, one of the downloadable maps in Halo 2. And the description sounds like Containment also. Like the surprising vehicles, such as the Wraiths in Containment, and the shortcuts, like the teleporters and tunnels in Containment, theres that one metal wall in the middle in it, like the description said, some "natural geology prevents it from being a mirror image", there are two bases, like in Containment, and I forgot, but was Containment on a Halo?

 

I don't know....kinda sounds like sidewinder to me...same aspects like containment, but with a better map. So what I guess I'm sayin is.....BRING BACK SIDEWINDER!

 

well cotton ball will no longer be in this dlc, but now its going to be in the next dlc

 

Where did you hear that? It said Purple Reign won't be in this DLC...

 

It cant be, sandtrap was said to be their biggest map ever at the beginning and it would have to be bigger than that.

 

I dunno, man...Sidewinder was pretty big. Even compared to Sandtrap, it's hard to tell which is bigger.

 

Did it actually say anywhere that Moonbase Alpha = Cottonball, or was it just switched out of the 2nd DLC?

 

Why does everyone want old maps brought back.

I would much rather have brand new maps made.

 

I hope it is death Island. That map was so fun, and with Halo 3 graphics. And Bungie said they are going to make more maps w/ water, because they are so proud of their water. But sidewinder wouldn't be bad, that map was pretty fun for BTB. Only time will tell what they really are but I want some screens I mean Just give up a picture of the sky or something. plzzzzzz (>_<)
