Fort Kinges Hello forgers, i am new to forgehub and this is my first post but i will give it a go and if it doesn't work i will do my best to fix it. Anyway now that i've done that, on to the map. Fort Kinges is a newly designed fort with a wall you can go inside. It is interlocked in the wall to the last detail. The backstory: James looked at his spartans. The raiders were trying to break into the ancient city but while the major still stood strong, no raider would conquer this land. Suddenly a siege ball Landed on one of the guards towers which knocked off a barrier plummeting down to the ground and hitting his sniper. The sniper was crushed and the raiders kept firing. The next shot managed to damage a part in the wall and they all climbed through it. "Spartans! back to the tower" James shouted as another firing came and blew away a house. They all held the tower where their sacred flag was but the raiders just kept coming. Fist he lost his first platoon, then his second and finally he lost his favourite squad. The raiders then found plasma grenades before the tower and all of them hurdled them up the gravity lift. James was stuck by 5000 plasma grenades and the raiders took the flag. Fort Kinges is a map with a symettrical fortress. It is definetly my best map and contains: an inner wall houses to snipe on a gate which can be knocked over by the wraiths (siege machines) a kings tower where the flag is held (also a good sniping point.) two sieging machines and two armories for the attackers. there is also one for the defenders. Well onto the pictures Overview fortress left fortress right guard towers Tower inner wall Left armory Right armory left siege machine right siege machine It contains 15 battle rifles 1 shotgun 5 snipers 10 assault rifles 3 spartan lasers 5 pistols 1 grav hammer Just a word from the author Me (CRAZY Corsy) and Masteroftheplan worked really hard on this so we would appreciate it if you followed the rule i will give below. There is only one crime in Fort Kinges and that is to camp in the kings tower. So if someone thinks it is clever to do that then they will just take on the full force of the raiders. Download here
In my opinion open space and loads of turrets dont match up but ill have to DL to find out and "james got stuck by 5000 nades" lol great 1st post! mayb you could consider some cover for the attackers in V2?
Ha ha!! I love the story, No offence or anything but forts are'nt really my thing, Know what I mean, but I give the map 4/5 from the pictures.
ty and this is sort of v2 but v3 will be much better. And the 5000 nades thing is the fact that the plasma grenades are on instant respawn because there is only one on the map lol.
Total: 60/100 Design: 17/20 Why: The design was a little lacking, and that's because the castle was well done, but there were no structures to protect the attackers. Shield doors also induce camping. Aesthetics: 15/20 Why: The Aesthetics for the castle were ok, but it made my eyes a little sore. Some parts like the ceiling could be placed better, so it covers all of the hallway instead of little of it. Gameplay: 10/20 Why: I haven't actually played the map so I can't personally say it, but one nonstop respawning plasma is not a good thing. It induces spamming. The defender's have little more than a few turrets and a few guns to defend themselves. The Attackers have wraiths! Nice call making them fixed however. But the attackers have too many power weapons. The power weapons are slighlty balanced with no cover however. Idea: 13/20 Why: The fort/castle/house raid idea has been done many before, but you seem to have it placed much better, especially with the towers made of fence boxes, great idea there. Weapon Spawns: 5/20 Why: This sorta belongs with gameplay but this focuses more on the locations. The attackers can immediatly grab a rocket, br's, a brute shot, and a spartan laser at start. Unless these weapons, excluding BRs, have no spare clips and never respawn, it's way too much power. The turrets can easily be destroyed by a single rocket shot, regardless if someones holding it or not. Overview: Your map has some interesting features, but can be lacking in some areas. It positions the attackers in an amazing position against the defenders. A fort in halo may be indestructible but not the people in it. Additional Comments: Needs moar interlocking 1/5. Joking, it's great for a newcomer, can't wait for V3. Positive Interests About Map and reasons why: The main thing I like is the fence box towers. Do you mind if I use that? It allows an easy jumping method up high but your still open. The castle may not be beautiful, but it is well designed. Things needing to be improved and reasons why: Make a more balanced weapon system, it just givees attackers too much strength, and give them some cover, be it 2 crates. Just fill up gaps in the roof and I'll be happy though.
