Yeah so when I try to geo-merge I always have the object go into the ground at an angle - never flat - I always surround the object with imovable items but it still goes in at an angle. So I was just wondering how do you get the object in perfectly flat. All help will be apreciated.
First of all, welcome to ForgeHub. ^_^ If it goes in at an angle, grab it again and let it fix itself. Generally, if you've got guides in place, it'll go where it's supposed to. Some things that might come into play if you're using the doors method, though, are whether the doors are resting entirely on the object being merged, and the number of doors you're using to geomerge the one object. As a general rule, it's a good idea to use at least two.
Make sure you surround the object with double boxes or fence walls, those are the best to use. The rest is pretty much trial and error. The more you do it the better you get. Keep practicing and you'll have it in no time.
I ussually use Teleporters actually, I'm just used to it and they work pretty well. Maybe the object you can't Geo Merge isn't totally secure?
Yeah I forgot to mention teleporters as well! You may also want to try the "door" technique. Surround the object you want to merge, and then place however many doors you feel is necessary on the object your merging. These doors should rest so that they merge with the object. Once those have settled, quickly grab the object your trying to merge, and let go. The doors will push the object into the ground. I found this method to be a bit quicker and easier than the "old school" method of geo-merging.
Are you using the door technique or the other technique? If so, I would just do what everyone else said, use fence walls and teleporters to keep it very stable. If you sink it and you like the angle, but want to merge it more, make sure to save and make your life simpler so you can do it over.
