I have no clue if this belongs in General chat and i dont think it matters but.. I have been in the forging 101 forum for the past 2 weeks or so and ive read all the steps.. In fact its helped me with alot of techniques but there are 3 things i cant do with the geo-merging technique.. Firstly: How do i geo merge a wall into the surface of foundy.Or Avalanche because im planning on making a map of it soon. Secondly: How do i geomerge something into the side of a map. And Lastly How do i geomerge Anything lets say a double box or a Wall double at an angle of the map. Yes i know these are all on the forums but Ive tried it and i cant get it to Work. If Some One views this thread and thinks they can actually help me out invite me to a game on an empty canvas of foundry and give me examples of each. Tag me up my Gamertag is St4plgun as shown on my signature.Il give whoever does this Positive rep as well Because then you'd truly deserve it. and please refrain from spamming me with invites..
Well, first of all, I'll request a move to Forge Discussion. Then I'll help once it's moved. Hold on.
Thank you, Klink. Ok, so you want to geomerge something. The easiest way, in my opinion, is the door method. Simply put, place barriers around the object to keep it in place(teleporters work well for most small objects) then set two doors evenly in the direction you wish the object to move. If you want to merge it straight into the wall, then it should look like this: _ [] --[]-- <--Doors [] <--Wall --[]-- _[]_ <--Barriers This should cause the wall to be pushed in only one direction- into the Foundry wall. The same works for double boxes, except the doors go on top of the box, forcing it into the ground. Once you place the doors evenly, click anywhere on the wall and it will be pushed into Foundry. A save/quit method will be most effective with getting a box or wall on that perfect angle and having the barriers and doors aligned perfectly as well. Does that help? EDIT: Sorry, the picture got messed up, so if you don't understand after that, I can find you a real pic of it.
I would brace it with teleporters, then use doors to the intended angle(as in push them inside the immovable object, then grab the object and it should go back
Okay most of you are giving me replies as to easy geo-merging such as a box plain or a wall plain in the ground thats not my problem. im asking simply how to geo merge a box in at an angle to make a ramp or so on.. If i can get a reply that explains that it would be alot more helpful than knowing something I already know.
