Before I start, please don't direct me to any guides telling me how to geo-merge. I know how, I'm just trying to improve my skills.
OK, I use the door method to geo-merge. My problem is that I can rarely get whatever I'm merging level. Say it was a single box, it would allways end up slanted to one side. I was wondering, to stop this, do I need to alter my braces, make them tighter or something?
The other thing I though of is making it so that there are two doors at the same distance apart. Will this stop one side sinking more?
Well, thanks in advance for any answers you give. I would apreciate anything.

I can't get on right now sorry. I may send you a friend request though, and if you're ever willing to show me another time I'd appreciate it.
In the meantime, does anyone have some written advice?

if you double tap it so that it sinks into the ground and one of the sides are lower than the other than hover over that side and double tap a on it and you can keep doing it until it is the way you want it (if you still dont understand then i will show you in forge when you get the chance

If it comes out slanted you should probably adjust your doors, If you put one door on a single box it could come out funny. If you put them in a square though, then it will come out straight. Also use teleporters around the single box on each side.

Teerav - Thanks for that, I never knew that.
StreetSoccer - Thanks, I will try putting the doors in a square.
I'll give this a go. Hopefully I can get it right, and make a great map for you all. :monitor::haha:

Using the "doors method," the way to avoid crooked merging is to make sure that your guides are as tightly aligned with the item being merged as possible. It's also best to use thicker items like teleport sender nodes and boxes than it is to use thinner items like teleport receiver nodes and bridges. This is because with the thicker items, if the item being merged goes off to one side, you can simply grab it again and it'll naturally unlock itself from the "guides" that are around it into the position that is desired. The reason why you want the thicker "guides" is because they're harder for items like walls, bridges, and/or open boxes to irreparably pop out of.

Oh, and don't double-tap. It'll still merge even if you hold onto it. It might bounce around a little bit, but once it's in place it'll stay put. Simply grab again (on the side opposite the accidental interlock) and it'll pull into place. Also, the more doors you're using, and the closer to the edges they are, the better.
