    Anti-King: the KOTH game where you don't want to be in the hill.

    You begin the game falling from the ceiling of foundry into a small pit. This deadly pit is the hill. Fight your way up the tunnel, and out of the hill. Every second you are in the hill, you lose points; while every second you aren't in the hill, you gain points. Every time you die, you continue to fall from the ceiling back into the game.

    This map is reliant on grenades. The only guns on the map are a shotgun in the pit, and a battle rifle up in the safety tower. From this tower, you have a perfect view of everyone charging out of the hill, and you can annihilate them with ease. Fight to the tower to win.

    All together, this map makes for some insane mayhem. Because of the size of this map, it is fun to play with anywhere from 4-12 people. If there are eight or more people, this map is best played as a team king of the hill game. This way, one team will control the top while the other team tries to fight their way out of the bottom. Be sure to download the necessary gametype to play this map.

    WARNING: You cannot play this map with regular king of the hill. You must play it with the extra fun Anti King Gametype, which you can download HERE.

    wow, I did break alot of rules. My bad. I had trouble embedding the pics, but everything else I didnt even notice. Sorry. Hope you still like the map.

    there are links to pics listed above. Have fun with this map, Its a new concept, and so fun. I play it all the time. make sure you DL the game variant also, otherwise it is unplayable

    I suggest you get cranking with those pics because this isn't like the Bungie forums, it will probably be closed if you don't follow the rules. I'm sorry but these are the rules and they're the same for everyone.

    EDIT:

    You aren't allowed to link to your fileshare. Links are supposed to direct you to the map / gametype that the original post features.

    This sounds like a cool concept, I've never heard of this before. I know you said that you can't embed your screenshots but please try while your map gain comments. The fact is that no one wants to open a bunch of links to your screenshots. Embedding them will also get you more downloads, views, and feedback. Aside from embedding your screenshots this seems like it could be a lot of fun as you said so I'll dl this when I get a chance. Good work.

    Theres a stickied topic in all map forums for "how to post ur map". It has TONNSS of useful code. Very creative btw. The construction also looks good.

    It should be noted that we don't force people to put pics in their posts. Also, we don't lock topics for lack of pictures. Those rules are for the Guilder Application forum, because there are very strict requirements for becoming a Guilder. Here in the Maps forum, it's standard practice to post pics, but not required.

    Moving on. Cubs, I noticed in your post that you have code to embed screenshots directly from the Bungie screenshot viewer. That does not work. You'll need to download the pics to your computer and then upload them to an image hosting service. Check my sig or the Useful Threads in Forge Discussion for a link to explain how to do that.

    Now on to the map review. Cubs I downloaded this map because I liked the concept, but I think it was executed poorly. You have two rooms in this map: one that's in the hill and one that's outside the hill. Because of the way you set it up, this could very easily be a conventional KotH map if the hill was in the top room instead of the bottom room. Do you see what I mean? People would still want to get from the bottom to the top, but they'd be trying to get in the hill and not out.

    I would have liked this map better if the bottom area was a central pit and the top area surrounded the entire hill. Then put two ways out of the pit. Players would still spawn down there, and they'd still want to get out of the hill. Let me see if I can explain the difference better.

    Your map: Two rooms, one bad to be in, one good to be in. (Could easily function as a regular King of the Hill.

    My version: One pit and one encircling balcony. Bad to be in the pit, get to the balcony.

    Anyway, I still like the concept, but I think the map could have a better layout.

    Furius, Thanks for the serious feedback. First of all, there are technically three rooms if you count the small BR tower above the second floor... anyway, I first tried your method, and it wasn't quite the gameplay that I wanted to happen. More space = less action. My map has very little space, and causes insane amounts of madness. I will work with the suggestions that I have after I get plenty of feedback for this map. Thanks for the feedback though, and I'll think about what you had said.

    That's cool. Everyone has their own opinions, that was just mine.

    Also, don't double post. Just click the "Modify" icon to insert text into your last post. I know you were happy about getting those pics in there, but still don't do it.

    it sounds like a good map, i like the conept. But what if you have the anti king in the first room then add more rooms and also have the anti king move around so you cant just camp with a shotgun in the non-anti-king-room
