I love these things. I will download now and get back to you on the difficulty i believed it to be. I am hoping to finish it without to many problems, but from what i have seen in the posts i doubt that will happen. EDIT: I figured out how to beat it. I loved that map. Very well done and neat. I liked your use on almost everything on the map. Loved how it played out. The teleporter room was very clever, i have never seen a teleporter puzzle in that way before. Also their is a glitch on your map. kinda noticeable. It allows you to wonder the map but not get the oddball from what i have seen. It was a fun puzzle map. Their is one aspect that stood out on the puzzle map and that was the use of the power ups. The glitch is located on the other side of the roadblocks.
Haha yeah I found out about that a day after submitting it. So, what were your thoughts on the puzzle, easy or hard. Did you like the idea? What do you think I should improve on, ect. Added to the front as second person done. FieryWizard, you must shoot the barriers with your sniper and it will creat a gap that you can jump through but it is tough getting through. Reply when you read this because I accidentaly hit block communications on you. oopsie.
Hey I need some help with the part through the tele right in the beginning. It keeps saying its blocked, and I do not know what to do with the sniper rifle.
POSSIBLE SPOILER Well, the difficulty of the map was good. I liked that you didn't make ridiculous jumps to make, but you did give some harder ones. The sniper ricochet could be used to unblock the last teleporter if you shot at almost the perfect place, also the top part could be unblocked using the glitch. I liked the use of your equipment traps. Also i have never seen the last turret part used before very original and i give props for it. Overall i thought it was more difficult and more original than most maps out there. I beat fairly quickly but thats only because i have done many of these and i knew all of the tricks you used except for the turret part. (Oh and to people reading this, no i am not talking about turret wall glitching)
Haha thanks. Thats what I was aiming for, a completely original puzzle, or close. The turret thing, do you mean the place where this is a hall and you have to unblock the teleporter with the turret. Also, what was your view on the choose a teleporter room. Do you think that was a nice original idea?
Yes that part. I have seen everything before somewhere or another except that part. The teleporter room was entertaining. I will admit you got me with it the first time but afterwards i learned from my mistake. I got through all the way to the turret part my first time through. The sniper ricochet was really obvious when you had this huge gap across the map.
A pretty cool puzzle map. I didn't enjoy getting crushed by the second wire spool though, even when I destroyed the fusion coils before hand I would still usually die, rargh! Making it possible to die with the "choose a teleporter" bit is also a pet hate of mine when you're that far into the map and still have to redo everything. Making it so that the blocked teleporters stay unblocked once you've done it once would've made things less frustrating. After all, I've already proven I can do those puzzles, why make me do them all over again? The "choose a teleporter" idea itself was cool, but yeah, I would've either put that puzzle nearer the beginning of the map so that death wasn't such a huge pain in the butt, or made it so all the teleporters stayed unblocked. I really loved the turret trick, I had never seen that before, but when I thought of how it worked it made sense, because I knew it was possible to do that, I just never thought to do it with a turret in a puzzle map, kudos on that one! You can get out of the 4th room though, just after the 2nd window panel jump, as it turns out you can't do much from out there (except unblock a teleporter earlier than you're supposed to) so you got away with it, just about, but be careful! Overall I liked it, there were just a couple of little suggestions there that would make it a superb puzzle map, or things to consider on your next one, which I look forward too.
Thanks, yeah that wall got deleted somehow and I realized a week after I posted it was part of the roof and I'm like oh crap. Thanks for your comments and suggestions and I will try to put them into effect with my new puzzle map. Did you happen to get past the teleporter room?
I got past all bits. Later on I noticed there was a whole section I missed though involving a bunch of rooms with turret and mongoose clipping, I dunno how I skipped that whole bit out but I'm glad I did, I can't stand turret and mongoose clipping mazes. You can use that area to get back inside the map from the outside though, one of the turrets is next to the wall in that section and you can grab it from outside. So you can skip like 1 whole puzzle *Gasp*
Yeah I know, and that room is just a distraction. Normally, when you get in the hall with the blocked teleporter, you will look around and not find any turrets, most people won't check the double box. They will find one through a wall and then they will enter one of the four rooms and they will think this is where you are supposed to go but It isn't.
I got passed that part initially too, I just jumped through the window panel. Instead of going through the maze
