Map Title: Motocross Racetrack inspired by common motocross track features Download Map Download Gametype Description: Features -No Shortcuts -The finish line is in the air, so you can not run back and forth to gain points -'Woops' made out of cement barriers -An over/under bridge and tunnel -Debris for scattering This is a fast running course with a large jump accross the finish line. I was careful to check for shortcuts or cheats and I have not found a way to break this map. If you are not on a mongoose; you are loosing. As far as I know, the cement barrier woops are unique and function pretty well. If you do manage to get stuck on them, try meleeing the goose or grenading it out. There is a fusion core in the barrels after the second corner; try tossing a grenade in to slow down the pack behind you. Please post any critiques, comments, or experiences and have fun! Awesome work on this one, atleast from what the pictures can tell me . I'm gonna download it and have a look for myself . EDIT: You, my good sir, have created the best racing map up to date. I've actually raced through it and have had a look at it in forge and I don't really have anything negative to say about it. The only thing that comes to my mind as possibly negative is the lack of Interlocking. But in this case there is little need for you to interlock anything. If this was your standard slayer map things would, however, be different. I like the fact that you've made the track so complex yet so fluid and natural. There's never a doubt of where you are supposed to go. I also like the fact that your map almost is impervious to cheating. But let's move on to the thing that I love about your map, it's a thing that most creators never really bother with and if they do they reach mediocre results. I love the way you've placed scenery like barrels, road blocks, street cones etc. They all add up and make me believe that this place actually exists. I actually would like your help with adding scenery like that on a current project, so add my gamertag if you feel that you're able to assist.

I worked on the flow of the track with a couple friends by having them run laps in forge while I edited corners which seemed to be causing them to slow or stop. They also pointed out things that were aggravating or awesome. As far as the scenery goes, I have spent several years working in machine shops and warehouses and the basic scenery set of the foundry made me think of the unused corners of those buildings. There were always barrels piled in corners and a few pallets propped up against walls. Also, some idiot would always leave the forklift in the middle of nowhere. The traffic cones were added in places that seem natural for a racecourse - to draw attention to obstacles - and in this case to be obstacles as well.
