Monorail v1.5

    As my first map brought before the Forge Hub, I would like to open with one of my strongest maps.

    Enter Monorail

    Here's some images of Monorail to give you some idea of what the map is like

    The map is a bit crowded with the monorail system, so forgive the limited scope of the images. There simply is no way to get a large portion of the map into a screenshot without deconstructing it in forge to make the map easier to photograph. Still, I'll update it with images of the courtyards, and a few more perspectives on the map when I get home.

    Map Specs
    Monorail is designed to work in all gametypes, and it has a unique feature: A one way vehicle-only system used to get from one base to the other.

    It has a nice cat and mouse feel in smaller games, and a nice teamwork element when you get to larger ones.

    There are about 4 major areas in the map: Enterance Courtyard, Exit courtyard, Entrance base, Exit base. Each courtyard is attached to its respective base, and both have enough weapons to keep you armed, but not so many as to make the map feel flooded.

    As a part of the map, indestructible vehicles are highly recommended. The map could work without them, but this keeps the monorail from being disabled too frequently.

    This is an ever changing map, I hope to upgrade it to fix any flaws or balance issues found. If you find one, please let me know and I will address it in the next update.

    Of some note is the bases change: One isn't always defensive base, or offense. In some gametypes, the offensive and defensive sides switch places, allowing the monorail system to be used to its potential in all game types. This is why neither base claims the name "Defensive" or "Offensive".

    Reason for editing: Formatting issues. Was fine as it was, but for sake of forum coherence I edited it to fit the mold in the sticky

    That looks quite good, I understand that you can't show the map very well via pictures, thats the problem with small spaces. You could make a floorplan, that would help.

    You already answered your own problem of no big screens of entire map. Just delete some stuff so you can get up high or far back and the don't save. I like the idea of the monorail, 3.8/5 for innovation.

    Looks like the design was though out well though I don't see myself using it for any competitive games. This might be better to put in the Casual Maps section. Nice work though.

    The monorail feature may make you think that, but the thing is casual maps specifically are designed for "honor rules" gametypes and their ilk. This map is designed for honest "normal" fighting, no honor rules required.

    I just got home, and now I'm going to get the extra pictures of the map. They should be up in an hour or less.The pictures are up now, first post.
