Download the map here Dockside is a map designed to be entered in MattDGiant's Pre-DLC Competition. The fighting takes place on a sunny beach and a floating dock located on Last Resort. It supports Team Slayer for up to 4-8 players. As you can see, the map's boundaries are marked by the ruins. There is nothing past the ruins, so there's no point in going out of bounds. Overview of the docks These are your amphibious hovercrafts (ghosts). Here are the amphibious transport vehicles (mongeese) and amphibious attack vehicles (hogs). A view of the dock An overview of the beach. Yes, the map is very open. It's a beach. Sue me. Special thanks to MattDGiant for hosting the contest. I'll admit, I had a hard time coming up with something to make out of a pre-DLC map, lol.
I don't really see the point of this map.... there is nothing stopping you from going to the other side of the map and its basically just some boxes in the water. I see that it's for a contest but the map itself doesn't look very exciting.
seems kinda useless for slayer... or really anything. it's just a buch of vehicles. is it supposed to be ANYTHING?
Looks Ok..........I guess, What gametypes is it made for? It seems a bit plain though. Like there is a few single box opens and a couple of Ghosts, Exactly what is the Point of this map? Please reply back to me.......When you can.
On most pre-DLC maps it takes half your items to block off a small section of the map. Anyway, this map is really good for a pre- DLC map. But you could add a few barriers here and there on the beach to make the gameplay more strategic. 4/5
It looks more like an aesthetic map than a competetive map. The aesthetics are goood bit it is not for fighting. 1/5 for competetive, 5/5 for aesthetics.
This looks like a pretty cool map and I bet there is a lot of confusion, but my question is: are you sure there won't be too much confusion with all of the vehicles? Sometimes that is a lot of fun, but it takes away a lot of skill from the game.
I don't see what's special about this map. Don't get me wrong, the dock set up is cool, but it looks like something for a machinima/infection brawl!
To be honest, I don't even know how it will play. I have no time to try it this week as I have driver's ed all week and then I'll be out of town during the weekend. Btw, to those who don't understand what the map is about...try reading the post!
Good map for a map on last resort. Remember people, his objective was to make it a beach battle. You know, ruins. Also, the basic objects are movable and you cant interlock them. Just bringing that by, it's pretty tough to make a map on L.R in the first place. It's in a competition for PRE DLC maps. 4/5. It is a beach battle but it's true that you could have added a little more cover, unless it's a pure vehicle fight, which wasn't scripted on your thread so I wouldn't know.
