Background Effects?

Whats the title got to do with anything?
The colours are cool (no pun intended) but the girl looks a bit drunk.

 

I would say lighten up the mouth a little so it doesn't look like a giant hole.

 

She looks like she's from a horror movie, she has no eyes or mouth.
I think its too dark and the right side is too plain.

 

I don't think its too plain, there just needs to be something there or she's leaning on nothing lol

 

Besides the entire thing looking low-resolution, the blue/black contrast is too strong.
