DESPERATION DESPERATION DESCRIPTION Desperation is an Infection map I built, based on Sandtrap. The main idea is that a group of survivors spawns in the "base" and has to find small bases scattered around the map for extra UNSC weapons and grenades to defend themselves against the zombies. I made the bases using an antenna and some crates, barrels and boxes. There are two routes which the survivors can take, one to the left and one to the right of the ruins in the middle of the map. Basically both routes have the same amount of bases with similar weapons (although the bases are far from being symmetrical), so it doesn't really matter which route you take, it's just a matter of luck because the zombies could spawn just about anywhere on the outer rim of the map. On the other end of the map, by the "Behemoth" Elephant, there are a Gauss Warthog, a Mongoose, some of the best weapons on the map and maybe even a Scorpion (not sure if this one is going to make it into the final version because of the balance). Additionally, there are some brute/ covenant and forerunner weapons scattered throughout the ruins as a reward for those who dare leave the destined path from base to base. All weapons have but one clip each and nothing on the map ever respawns so the group is forced to keep moving as more and more of them fall and turn against them... Predator works best with 8-16 people PREDATOR RULES: 1 Alpha Zombie Alpha Zombie: Zombie color, perfect camo, no shields, takes 10% damage 200% speed, 50% gravity, enhanced radar/ 150m NO weapon pickup + vehicle use, energy sword, no grenades Zombie/s: Black color, perfect camo, no shields, take/s 10% damage 200% speed, 75% gravity, enhanced radar/ 75m NO weapon pickup + vehicle use, energy sword, no grenades Survivors: no forced color, 75% speed, 150% gravity, normal radar/ 75m weapon pickup + full vehicle use, magnum, no grenades Last Survivor: 125% speed, 100% gravity, normal radar/ 150m currently 3 rounds to make testing easier, final version will have 5 rounds Time Limit per Round: 10min --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CURRENT DEVELOPMENT STATUS AND RELEASE Currently both Desperation and Predator are in a BETA STATE which was reached last night playing a couple of games with about 10 people (which were really fun by the way). Time limit, health, speed and radar are subject to change, as well as the spawnpoints and weapon spawns. Both Desperation and Predator will be hosted on my fileshare and I will post the links here as soon as the beta testing is over, which probably will be in a few days time.
it sounds pretty interesting =p i dont think the tank should be used thou. and the fact that the zombie's have vehicles is somthing that i generally dont like but it does seem like an interesting concept
yeah i took the tank out for now, i don't really think it will come back but i thought i'll let the community decide...as for the zombies, i think you misunderstand something, they can NOT use vehicles anyway, thanks for your thoughts EDIT: i see, i wrote no weapon pickup/ vehicle use, which was a bit easy to misunderstand...the not was for both weapon pickup AND vehicle use anyway, i changed the / to a +
I improved Desperation somewhat by adding a Prowler, more weapons and even an additional base, now having a total number of 8 (as many as you can put antennas on Sandtrap) The Prowler is a great addition because everybody is very exposed and an easy target for the zombies, but the gunner is still quite dangerous because of the fast firing rate compared to the Gauss Warthog
