I could barely understand your last thread and it didn't make the map look too good. This thread is, however, very clear and puts across your map beautifully. I love your originality. I'm one of those people that likes taking out one block at a time from a jenga tower and watching it slowly crumble so this map is definitely for me. Firing fusion coils one at a time at enemy "ships" and hoping they crumble is great. Your originality is great and your concept is well forged. The sideline scenery adds great value to your map and I love it when people work to use up the rest of their budget to add more to their map. The fusion coil launching system is especially great because it uses an object usually used as scenery as a very important part of the map. It also looks very fool proof and won't mess up often. I'm also glad you added a spike grenade option so people can just have fun and try and get a lucky kill. You have a great forging career ahead of you. I can't wait to see your future maps.
love the idea and nice job of making a map not on foundry even though some people need forge maps to be on foudry anyway nice mini game i played this 5 days ago i like that the fusion coils didnt fall in exact place for me at least nice idea too 4.5/5 maybe come up with another grave lift 2 each side shoot propane tanks but so,e thing diff it would get boring fast sorry only thing
This is really innovative and precisely executed. Great post, as well. I've heard some grumbling that the gameplay is not too fun, but I'm impressed. You have the mechanism down perfectly, maybe since you said you might be working on v3, you should concentrate on the actual playing experience. Some variety of equipment or weapons, maybe? Also, aesthetically, you could find some way to make the platforms look like little boats. Overall, this really rocks and I love to see a nicely-executed mini-game.
Oh this looks fun. I'm a fan of the board-like game and think that it would be awesome in Halo. However I am currently full so I can't download it. However I would like to play it on Xbox Live with you, so hit me up.
OMG this looks sweet! How fun could tis be? How often do people fall off though? If you made one on Avalanche I bet it could be EPIC! Great objects plus a death barrier! This is very cool and if you made one on Avalnache (or Blackout for that matter) it could be supper cool!
I always wondered how you could incorporate battleship into halo 3 and this is pretty neat it's actually pretty cool and looks like alot of fun. Great job 4/5
this looks really neat. i looked through the forums for days trying to find somthing original and this looks like somthing that should be featured. ill and for v3 i wonder if it could be made on avalance with different items??? if not i dont know how you could make it better
Avalanche is a great map, but I seem to recall it doesn't have many movable objects like the barriers on standoff. That would make constructing the platforms harder. But I'll check it out, it could work.
For making it more ship-like, perhaps you could make the ships solely out of pallets. They get destroyed in one hit, and you have to strategically fire shots in order to wipe out a ship platform so the enemy team can't use it.
I Always Had A Map Like This In Mind except it was easier to survive this was very fun and has inspired me to make my one
this is cool but for the gametype are the players really heavy so then they can't be noobs and jump from ship to ship.
No, players are able to "abandon ship" and switch platforms. However, they are unable to escape the map.
yo this map and gametype is pretty good. i got pretty bored of jenga and have been lookin for a similiar gametype . this one fits the bill perfectly. i like how its kinda up to chance yet you can snipe the coils. well done
i can't seem to be able to download this. the links don't work for me. good concept though, can't wait to try it out.
This map looks great, fun gameplay being the the most important. I'm planning on having a large party(i hope) and was wondering max/recommended number of players? Hope to have review soon after playing! Also your link needs to be to the file not yor fileshare(I think).
