No one in their right mind wouldn't play the greatest game on its birthday. Enough with the stupidity. Just play halo, the other games should up their speed and make it so they can have their games with lowered guns. Long Live Halo and celebrate its birthday. Protesting on the 25th will do no one any good. Anyone who wants to get a party goin on the 25th my gt is Kangaroo killa.
Sorry, but I'd rather have Lowered weapons over XBL than a party that I wont be able to join because my xbox has RROD.
well its ludicrous that their doing this on the 1 year ani. they should be thanking bungie for having the gun lowering thing not boycotting it.
I just wanna voice my opinion hear, I'm not gonna try to bash anyone, so please don't bash me in response... Honestly, I do see what the machinima makers are trying to do, but I'm pretty sure Bungie already knows what Halo would be like without it's loyal fans. That's every video game creators fear: the lack of fans to support the game. If anything, Bungie recognizes what Halo would be like without that group of people to take part in the Halo community. We wouldn't have any of the hit machinimas like Red vs. Blue to entertain us. I'm sure they added the Theater mode feature to help make recording a bit easier than it usually was in the Halo CE and Halo 2 era.... Also, I just respect and love the game of Halo itself too much to not celebrate it's birthday. But, you know, if you wanna boycott it to show Bungie a point, that's fine too. I'm just doing what I want.
Of course man, its up to everyone to do what they want on the 25th, celebrate or boycott. If you did machinimas like some of us though, you would know how a little wittle thing like lowering your weapon, affects your movie somewhat. Just look at the video Flemproductions made, and youll get an idea of what we wanna accomplish.
I am not going to lie so i'm going to just put this out there. There is at least 750,000 people online everyday say 100,000 people boycott for 1 day.....That is a mere fraction of how many people play every year Bungie knows about the boycott and if they were concerned we would have been notified in the update last night or an announcement.
True story. But ya 100k protesting? Highly doubtful on that one. The 25th is also a Thursday, which is when Double XP starts, so even more people will be celebrating double xp than protesting for sure. And I'm sure Halo is going to have like a special celebrating double xp weekend as well, so I'll be looking forward to that. But ya just go let the Lower Your Guns video have it's moments. Some people will do anything for some publicity. But they are trying to "accomplish something".
I think people just need to accept the fact that halo 3, while being infinitely awesome, is not a perfect game. Everyone wants to change something about it so it would be perfect, be it the gun lowering, br starts, inability to glitch, etc. etc. I think people should just stick with what they got and accept it.
I don't create machinima, and I don't really care for it. I think a lot of the people signing on the Lower The Guns thread don't even know what the whole point is... sort of a 'everyone else is doing it so I will'. I don't need the ability to lower my gun, and although that may sound selfish, if the button combination could lead to more button glitches, it is just not worth the risk, regardless of how unlikely it is. Provided I have the time and a working Xbox, I'll likely be playing on the 25th.
I can wait one day to play halo if it might make a difference. I'm sorry but I'm not obsessed. I'm just a hubber.
Im starting to think that this "boycott' on the 25th is starting to be wrong. The reason for that is think of this 1 year birthday as your own birthday. You have a ton of friends that like you, you are always nice and give your friends fun toys too. Then when it's your birthday, they all turn their back on you and think they deserve even more stuff. They say they won't go to your "party" if you don't give them another thing they want. Bungie gave us a bunch of things already and yet we gave nothing back to them, how about instead of protest we find a different way to communicate to bungie to lower the guns. Even if you guys still want to protest, it should not be on the 25th. That is a time of rejoice and happiness not a day of shame.
