I would love to see the hill of this map turned into a king of the hill map, with people battling on top, or even inside, with teleporters leading to the corners of the inside of the hill.
This is one of the greatest demonstrations of a great post and map I have ever seen. The map itself is absolutely amazing, but your post is great too. New hubbers, use this as an example! 10/10.
The game after four minutes so it's not like you're stuck there forever. If the portal closes and you're inside then you can actually jump through the portal to get outside but you can't get back in. This gives the enemies one last chance to get the flag. I tried to fix this but once I got it to where you couldn't come out, it made it possible to get in. The teleporters at the top of the hill lead you inside. Without the teleporters then it would be impossible to get out. Plus, like I said before, I'm trying to stick as close to the story as possible.
Great design but the gameplay doesnt reaaly look to good. armories are always bad too. make a v2 with more structers 3/5
First off, I have to say, this map looks great. The interlocking is very professional and neat. However, how does gameplay usually work out on this map? It looks to me like the "covenant" side would completely dominate the "spartan" side because of their heavier and more plentiful weaponry. Armories are never a good idea. The closing off of the top of the base could also serve to deter gameplay.
perfectly structured pyramid dude...5/5 on that....on the gameplay, doesnt look that fun sorry, like 5 mins of hey how hard is it to get up, and then thats it.....otherwise, 3/5
The gameplay works out great. The Covenent's heavy weapons like the sword and fuel rod gun don't respawn to give the humans a better chance. Again you are only able to get into the Covenent armory if you spawn in there. Once you go through the teleporter, there's no way back in. Think of the exits teleporters as a spawn point and think of the armory as a place to choose your weapon before you "spawn" from one of the exit teleporters.
Ya dude this is very cool! I love the pyramid type structure. It looks like this took you a while and it payed off with this aesthetically pleasing map! Nice Job, 5/5. Keep up these great maps!
wow!!!!!! the hill is so neat and nicely interlocked! i like the idea of it and the idea of locking the teleporter with a fence wall. good job! 5/5
Wow, that is all I need to say about the sheer perfection you have attained in interlocking that pyramid. I love the idea, especially because it came straight from the book, but I have one suggestion. Because the teleporter closes gradually in GoO, you should gradually set walls to spawn during the game. At the three minute mark you just make it too small to enter. It's a lot easier than it sounds really. I actually think an armoury with only Covenant weapons is an okay idea. Because with a human armoury people can take one assualt rifle, then pick up half the assualt rifle ammo in the place, thus negating the idea of a true armoury, but with covie weapons, ammo doesn't stack with anything but Fuel Rods and Maulers, so, I say keep the armoury. Awesome job, good concept, questionable gameplay. 4.5/5.
like everyone ealse has said, the interlocking is amazing for your first map on forgehub. you should have no problem rising in the ranks here. try a little harder on maps (not saying this is bad at all, except the armory) you could get a feature. great job.
Making them gradually spawn was the original idea. I ran out of money though so I couldn't do that. I also didn't know about the infinite money level when I made this. If I did know I would have used that map instead.
My personal opinion is the you should have made it on Avalance and made the hill taller. Also, you should have made the hill with bridges so you could walk up instead of jump up. But, you did a great job, 4/5!
i will admit, it looks cool, but the gameplay itself leaves a lot to be desired. first, the fact that there is no paths up makes it frustrating cuz you'll have to jump up each section, while shooting. Second, this would be better on avalanche, because in the story the Covenant are a lot farther away than what they would be on foundry. Third, in the story there is a lot more cover on top. And fourth, there should of been someway to make the portal shrink in size, even if its just that objects spawn in the place of the teleporters, at different intervals so it looks like its closing. The interlocking is good though. 2/5
I think it's made pretty well, but the concept has been done many times before and I'm not sure if it'd be fun. I just wanted to ask though, where'd you get that first picture from?
First, I didn't have enough money to make stairs go up. Second, I made this before avalanch even came out (Yes I made it that long ago). Third, I didn't have enough money to make any more cover. Fourth, making it close gradually was the original idea, but yet again I didn't have enough money to do that. Please keep in mind that I made this map before I knew about the infinite money glitch. I photoshoped the first picture myself and boy was it a pain.
