A racemap designed after the baja 1000 or a similiar of road race. Wart hogs are used instead of mongooses.(unfortunely limiting the number of teams to 4) Designed as a warthog racetrack, this map turned out to be a great training ground for someone who wants or needs to work on warthog driving on maps such as valhalla or sandtrap. The Starting area does not have a gate, so drivers will have to get in the hogs as fast a possible to be competitive, The spawn points will drop you almost right into the drivers seat so a quick start should not be a problem. There are a few honor rules but the checkpoint is almost uncheatable. The first major obstacle - get your hog up the ledge If you get really frustrated there are grav lift you can deploy Sorry about borrowing the goal design from the flying goose map - that is the best design for a warthog on standoff The shield doors will catch you if you are about to have a really hard landing, but if you set up the launch just right, you will miss them and be fine. Overviews There is an honor rule about not leaving the track, but it isn't much faster to leave the track anyways. Original Bungie Post Gametype - Hog Racing
seems okay for a standoff race track. i think i like the mongoose thing and how you didn't make it much faster going off road.
Thanks for the comments. After one or 2 laps it becomes a lot less frustrating. I will admit that it is not a very serious race map, but it does give practice on stopping some of the things that can get you killed in a real battle - rollovers, hitting hard objects, etc. and helps with little manuevers that can help you get away on some of the rougher terrain maps.
Ya this map does seem pretty good for a standoff race track except driving on a race track with a warthog does get really frustrating! Regardless the map does look fun! Good Job! 4/5
