Fusion coils are on a 10 second respawn time. The roadblocks that act as holders are also on a 10 second respawn time, but due to some glitch in the system, do not respawn every 10 seconds; they take close to 30 seconds to spawn, so about 3 coils launch before the holder appears. This ends up working to the map's advantage as it allows players to concentrate on defending their battleship rather than continually launching coils. Also, the idea for the separating wall is excellent; I will diffidently add that in V2. It would give me tons of aesthetic options as well.
i agree totally with nemihara....i sugggest a wall between the two, and maybe like a rule that you have to throw or shoot a sniper bullet up if you get a direct hit...
I love this idea and it's really creative but i think the fact it has honor rulz will make it hard to play with anyone but friends.
Jester this map looks awesome! Very original, creative, and pretty simple IMO. It is great that you do not have to rely on honor rules either. Really nice Job! 5/5! Keep up the great maps!
Update: I have completed the second version and will post it as soon as I get it play tested. At the moment the links for the original map do not work, as I have deleted it from my file share. Expect v2 tomorrow (or later today, it is 3 o'clock in the morning after all). What to expect: for v2 I have sunken the entire arena below the edge of the cliff to make the map less breakable. I added a separating wall between the two teams with some nice aesthetic touches as well. All four ships are now equally spaced and set at the exact same height. Each team now has 4 cannons that shoot one coil each. The cannons shoot in an arc, and calibrating them took most of my day. I also gave each team the ability to lob spike grenades over the wall in an attempt to destroy their enemies' vessel. Lastly, I added some scenery to set the mood and make the map look shiny!
Nice map i like the platforms! it's very creative and i like it!!I will download it and try it !! 4/5
What to say about this map... First of all it's great! It's very original and so far I have loved almost every board game recreation out there. I can see this becoming a very strategy based mini-game, due to having to have one person release the fusion coils, while the others protect from oncoming missals. I have 2 questions though. 1. How many players are recommended/needed? and 2.How does the shooting the release mechanism 1-2 times work? I don't seem to understand the concept.
OK, once again the link to dl this map does not function. Version 2 of this map will be posted later...and trust me it is a ton better! To answer questions: The map can be played with any number of people. You can duke it out with just your friend, or can have an all out brawl with fifteen other players. The release mechanism works quite simply. The roadblock is hanging from the teleporter node, and it is cradling the fusion coil. By shooting the roadblock, you cause it to fall apart, simultaneously dropping the coil and releasing the roadblock from the teleporter node.
