First off: This is entirely discovered by ME, NewbAmoeba, nobody else. As far as I know every tutorial online requires a composite RCA jack. This requires no cables, just what you bought. Keep in mind i'm using a Dazzle Video Creator Plus. REQUIREMENTS(Yes, there are some specifications): Your TV must have a HD port (correct me if i'm wrong). This is where the blue, red, and green cables plug in. If you don't have that you can't do it. Sorry. If you have that than read on! First step: Install Pinnacle 12. Once installed click on the "capture" tab. Leave the PC for now. Second step: Remove the RCA cable from your TV and plug the Yellow Red White cords into the appropriate jacks on the Dazzle Plus. Third step: Now obtain the Green, Blue, and Red cords and plug them into the appropriate channel. (NOTE: this may not go into a DVD player or VCR, it does not convert) Fourth step: Plug the Dazzle Plus USB cable into the High Speed USB port 2.0. Let your driver install (if it hasn't already), then click capture on top of the Studio window. Put Capture Source to DVC 100. Fifth step: Set your HDMI port to Stardand. This does not work on HD! Thank you for reading! I hope some of you found this helpful. Buying the correct cords is confusing and money consuming, so I hope this helped out. There is not a quality difference, for those that are wondering. (Click) Please comment on Bungie!
That is actually pretty nifty. i never would have figured that out...but lucky i didn't need to buy any cords cause i had weird random cords laying around the house that work for it but really cool man :]
I did this a while ago for a school project and was left with my sound playing only through my computer, which is a nuisance...that is why, I and probably everyone else writing a vid-cap-card guide never wrote about this...its simple...but not necessarily the way to go...
This is like the 99cent thread of all video capturing threads. there's better ways of going about it, but this way is way ****ing cheaper
Thank you so much. I needed this since I've had my capture card for like 5 months now, and youtube fails.
Yeah I had problems with this stuff too, I couldn't figure out what to get or what to buy so I experimented a bit.
That's a really clever discovery. Unfortunately my TV isn't HD, so I have to use the RCA cables anyway .
