Help with weapon placement for infection map

    Hi, im making a infection map on Epitaph.
    It's set up like a chruch with pews and two alters.
    i might make it for slayer too so i was wondering if
    weapon should be spread out and some power weaps
    near human spawn but i dont know. Plus i dont got xbox live gold...

    It'a hard to make a map that plays well for both infection and slayer. Infection maps usually feature the weapons near where the humans spawn. Slayer maps need balance.

    You could have an infection version of the map and a slayer version of the map. Or you could try to set up a infection map with VERY balanced weapon placement. Of course, that would be quite difficult if you want a fun infection map.

    I would use the aysmmetric and symmetric option

    Infection is aysmmetric. Infected are attackers while humans are defenders.

    I've given up on the slayer but im have trouble figuring out wat weapons
    to put on the walkways outside.

    infection kind of necessitates the humans to have a fort, with some good weapons. However, slayer says that one team having both cover and weapons just doesn't work. So, I would suggest making your map for infection or whichever type you want, but if you want slayer then edit the specific gametype in forge.


    if you've given up on slayer, here's my tips for infection.
    It really depends on how your gametype and map are set up, but here are a few guidelines
    First off, decide the number of alpha zombies. The more you have, the better you can equip the humans. If the humans are too well equipped and theres only one alpha zombie, the game won't be fun, because the zombie will spend most of its time respawning, and the humans will barely see any action until someone ventures out alone and gets killed.
    Second, the more damage resistant the zombies are, the better you can equip the humans. If you turn shields off, then don't give the humans rockets. Likewise, if the zombies have full shields, don't equip the humans with only pistols.

    You also have to decide how much of a fortress the humans get, what weapons the zombies get, etc. Just a general rule of thumb:
    Make both teams almost balanced, with the human team being slightly better stocked.
