I just got done playing a FFA game on this map. We forged in a hill and made it so you had to stay alive in the bowl to score points. To get the stuff churning, we set a bunch of stuff to spawn above the bowl which would then fall in and, hurhur, get the ball rolling. Funfunfun!
It would look cooler, but all the objects most likely would not travel in a circular motion around the bowl. They would just bounce off the shield doors and be propelled around by the man cannons. We were going for a more defined route for the objects to travel (the route we wanted them to take was to go around the bowl). If you added shield doors you would also no longer be able to add certain items anymore (for example, barrels). They would fall out after a rotation or two. For vehicles only it would certainly be interesting to see. To tell you the truth, it didn't take us long. I had the idea of making them outside of the bowl so we could eliminate rough edges, but once we started placing them all we did was rotate them a little, and then save + quit. It was a lot easier having one person place them, and then at the same time, have the other one of us test them.
Great map, I love it! Sorry to say that a few people on youtube make videos of themselves messing around on it, claiming it is their map. But I suppose that if people are saying they made your map, it means it's good. This map is a great one, no real objective, but endless destructive fun.
I was hoping that this technique was used in the Toilet map that just got featured. But no such luck. Maybe you could teach Rusty a thing or two
A few days ago I searched "fish bowl halo" on youtube only to find two different individuals claiming that they or their friend made the map. Rest assured though that any version they have will have a save date after 12/24/07 (my final save). I haven't had a chance to post on either video because for some reason this comp that I'm usually on doesn't allow me to reply on youtube even though I have an account. I'm not worried though. It is youtube. (back on topic) Glad you liked the map, and thanks for posting a reply. =D
Just took runner-up in the Forge the Foundry Contest on mlgpro. Almost grabbed that top spot and a new set of headphones. The link is posted in the first post for those who would like to see it for themselves.
Hehe...team hardcore. May be we should suggest that to the folks over at bungie? I think it would show itself as a very competitive map. /sarcasm Anyway, thanks for the comment Kon Artist. It is definitely a fun map to mess around on.
I thought it was really cool, and it may just be because im bad at these things but I found it hard to get the vehicles up to the bowl and I think it wight be better it the paths were wider and possibly ad guard rails. Still a great map though.
Thanks for the comment. I definitely do have to do something with the ramps. Especially the ones on the top part of the bowl. I've just been busy with other things. I'll try to get to it this weekend. Glad you liked it though.
Really Unique map. My friend actually edited the map a lil and put his name as the author and told everyone that he made it, dont worry i called him a lil b**** for doing it Lol. This map really got me dizzy and gave me a headache. But.....if someone can make a map that actually gets you sick is a great accomplishment (Lol) 5/5 !
Amazing. Simply amazing. Me and my friend filled it to the brim with fusion coils and propane tanks. Surprisingly, we never lagged out, considering the IMMENSE lag it caused.

Very nice job on this glorious piece of work. How long did this take you? Anyway, i've showed this to almost half my friends list (seriously) and every single one of them has loved it. ( cept 1 but hes not important ) Nice job man this is a definite keeper.
Thanks for leaving a comment. Also, thanks for the high praise as well. This map only took us two days to complete. The first day we made the actual bowl, and made some of the ramp part. The second day we widened the ramps, put side walls along some parts, and placed the spawns for both vehicles and players. Keep the comments coming.
I d/l this a while ago. One time I put almost all the vehicles inside and everytime you went in you commited suicide
