    This is my first serious map, so I hope you like it.

    Causeway is a completely symmetrical base-oriented map on Foundry. It is compatible with any standard gametype, but I recommend it for Slayer or CTF.

    The bases have three ground entrances to prevent camping and that make CTF quite fun. In addition, Each base has an entrance in the roof protected by a shield barrier to allow the attackers to jump in behind the defenders. On top of the base is a turret that has a decent field of view but is quite vulnerable to make CTF more fair.

    Each base has two outer "terraces" that are connected to a series of bridges that span the map, hence the name "Causeway". There are two levels of bridges, and controlling them gives a much larger field of view than the ground. The only two snipers on the map, as well as Carbines, Needlers, Sentinel Beams, and Brute Shots are available from the bridges.

    I added a small garage on the side of the base that contains a Mongoose for flag runs and a Ghost for splattering unwary opponents. I added two alleys on the sides to allow easier access to the other side of the map, but these can also turn into grenade-ridden deathtraps if your not careful.

    The middle of the map has an open double box to move from base to base. This is where objectives spawn in neutral gametypes. There are also a few Fusion Coils to make it more "interesting". On either side of the box are two shield barriers, and next to those are walls. All in all, the center is pretty restrictive and a deathtrap for the team who doesn't control the bridges.

    Sorry Dude Bungie doesn't let you embed. They already have huge Bandwidth eatups, and they can't afford embedded images.

    It's because Bungie won't allow you to link directly to them. Try reading this post on how to post your screenshots properly. You've got a good description, now just make those pics show up?

    The map layout looks good.

    The map design looks bad. Try interlocking. It's a nifty technique.

    Thanks for the feedback. I originally had the non-garage side closed to vehicles, but I made it into a little alleyway where the overshield is.

    I don't like the map design, looks like it would get old after awhile. Also, the ghosts on the map are not a good idea, especially for CTF. No one likes an annoying guy splattering and spawn killing. Looks, ok.

    I thought about omitting it, but I found that it is really hard to rack up kills with. The only real reason it is there is to keep people on their toes: if there is no Ghost that may appear at any time and splatter you, why use the bridges at all? In CTF, it is a good annoyance to protect the flag carrier. This also encourages the flag carrier to use the bridges to avoid the defenders' Ghost. As for the spawn killing, there are few spawn points in the middle of the map. Most are on the bridges, in the bases, or along the walls.

    Also, I made sure to balance it out with lots of weapons. There's a Rocket Launcher on top of the box in the middle, a turret on either side, some Brute Shots, a couple of Flame Grenades, as well as BR's to tag it from the bridges. There is also an ample supply of Spike and Plasma nades. Additionally, in the long alley that the Ghosts move through, there is an Overshield, along with multiple Fusion Coils spread throughout the map.

    So, really, I found it to be a fairly balanced weapon, and only used effectively to escort the flag carrier. Thanks for the critique, though!
