For those of you who have been following the thread and discussing the possibility of this gametype in Forge Discussion - here it is! Fallout Players: 2-16 Gametype: Fallout only. Description: Combatants, armed with Gravity Hammers fight for the hill... But there's a catch! This is a VERY basic map used for Fallout - the gametype I have designed along with the help of people from Forge Hub (through the thread in Forge Discussion found here) It features a square room, in which, in the center is a hill which you try to stay in for as long as possible without being knocked out by other players swinging Gravity Hammers at your head. There are 4 man-cannons at each corner of the hill, which fire you into the corner of the room if you are knocked into them and 4 fusion coils to make people think twice about merely swinging their hammer as fast as they can at everything inside the hill. In the very center of the hill is a custom power-up which has a 2 minute respawn time and does not respawn at the beginning of the game. This powerup gives you 10 seconds of uninturrupted point hoarding as your gravity is set to 200 during this time. The gametype seems to be very frenzied and fast-paced and works on any King of the Hill map really, but this map is designed as a basic arena for it. I played a game of this on the Pit with 7 people aswell as one on Valhalla with 6 people and both were insanely fun. I know you said its a basic map but I'm sure myself included, and others are not interested in the basic maps. Because of what Foundry has to offer, I'm way more interested in the complexity that maps can reach. This sounds like fun but you may need to rework your design. Spawn killing is guarateed from what I can see. Also, the custom power up is a good idea, depending on what how long each round/game is. An overshield would be nice somewhere on the map I think. I'd give this one a second thought as to how you might think it actually would play out. Good work though.
Damage Resistance: Invulnerable Also about the complexity of the map, I am still learning forge, so I just wanted to get the gametype out and circulating to give other forgers a chance to make other unique maps for the gametype.
Yeah, this could use more work. But its an interesting concept. Send me a msg this weekend when I'm on and I'll help you out if you want. I absolutely HATE spawnkilling and spend a great deal of time keeping opportunities for it out of my own maps, so I'll definitely help you out on that front. But yeah, send me a message and I'll see what I can do.
Unfortunately unless you can disable assassinates, there's not much that can be done for the killing problem. Also, as I said this map is meant to be a VERY simple map to introduce the gametype. I am going to make a more complicated map once I am done with the one I am working on at the moment.
