Err, the anime look is cool, but those contacts are taking it just a bit too far. If I saw someone wearing those, chances are good that I would turn in the opposite direction and walk away. Quickly.

But like I said before, I think it is also about opening your eyes up wider. Notice how the Asian girl is posing. It is easy enough to open your eyes more for a picture. Also note The differences:

Yes, the pupil is larger, but the eyes don't "pop" much more, or at least as much as the Asian girl's did. I personally think it is a balance between the contacts and opening your eyes wider. However, you can just open your eyes wider and achieve almost the same effect from a distance.


I personally think larger eyes are cute, and I would hold nothing against a girl wearing those contacts anyway.

 

Anyone non japanese girl wearing these would just looked ****ed. As well, I know in Canada, if you try to go to a different eye doctor at all you need like a re-test on your eyes and contact consultation (some places, but at least originally). I'm not sure how you would be able to do this not through an eye doctor?
