    Community Gametypes Database

    Hey everyone, Max here and was just posting a new thread where anyone can post their favorite gametypes that are not for use with a specific map. For example, Laserball (one of my favorites) can be played on virtually any map. The database will also be posted in alphebetical order so just scroll down to the section that you were looking for. This is how the gametype should be posted,

    Classic Zombies

    Brief Description: An old favorite, not to mention the gametype that inspired Infection on Halo 3.
    Settings: No shields, shotguns on map, humans start with shotgun/magnum, 1 zombie and a round of 8 minutes.

    Brief Description: The game plays like an actual Human/Covenant battle from Halo: CE or Halo 2

    Fat Kid

    Brief Description: Don't let the fat kid get too close to you. He's mean... and he is damn ugly!
    Settings: Alpha zombie: gravity hammer/energy sword start, no weapon pickup, invulnerable, instant kill, 25% movement speed. Zombies: energy sword, no weapon pickup, 200% speed, no sheilds, 10% damage resistance, radar. Humans: SMG/magnum start. Next zombie chump.
    Suggested maps: Guardian
    Suggested Players: 4+

    Survival

    Brief Description: Zombies are fast but die easily. Humans try to find a good spot to hide.
    Settings: Zombies can take up to 10 percent damage with 300 speed and 75 gravity. Zombies are armed with energy sword. Humans have shotgun and sniper with unlimited ammo.

    Vampires

    Brief Description: You're a strong but starving vampire. Spill human blood to restore your energy.
    Settings: Alpha zombie has 4x oversheilds, zombies have 2x oversheilds, energy sword sword start, 1 zombie start, 100% leach, humans have needler/rocket launcher start, weapon pickup enabled, regenerating grenades, last man has infinite ammo.
    Suggested maps: Epitaph (looks castle-like).
    Suggested Players: 5+

    Juggernaut Section

    Hulk Smash

    Brief Description: Juggernaut is super fast and has low gravity. Everyone has hammers. Hulk SMASH!
    Settings: Gravity hammer start, no weapons on map, Jug has 300% speed, and 50% gravity.
    Suggested maps: Any
    Suggested Players: 3+

    Brief Description: Your classic big-gun juggernaut game, balanced for fun gameplay. Watch out for Mr. Teabag!
    Settings: Spawn with Rockets and Brute Shots, Rockets on Map, Players have 200% overshields, Jug has 400% overshields, 150% speed, and 90% shield recharge.
    Suggested maps: Any, but small levels and the portal layout in maps like Warlock make for exciting games.

    Settings: Team against jug, pistol start, instant kill, no radar, disabled weapon pickup, jug can pick up weapons, 10 points to win.

    Suggested Players: 3+

    Skeleton

    Brief Description: The Juggernaut is a weak one, but that's the only way you're going to get points, goal wise or by killing.
    Settings: Juggernaut has 90% damage resistance, 90% damage multiplier, normal shields, 125% gravity, 75% speed, can't get into vehicles. Goal points are on random cycle (1 point each), two points per kill as Juggernaut, no points when not juggernaut, team against Juggernaut, waypoint on Juggernaut, killer of Juggernaut becomes Juggernaut, and 10 points to win.
    Suggested maps: Medium sized maps. Too big, it's hard to reach checkpoints. Too small, it's hard to simply survive.
    Suggested Players: 4-8 players.

    King of the Hill Section

    Fiesta Hill

    Brief Description: King of the Hill, where players spawn with a random weapon. Its a party!
    Settings: FFA, random weapon start.
    Suggested maps: Any
    Suggested Players: 2+

    Oddball Section

    Clue

    Brief Description: Have you ever noticed that whenever the ball is picked up, you are unable to see who killed who? Well, it does. The way the winner is determined is if the Killer successfully kills all of the other players or if the Killer is caught and is killed by someone else.
    Settings: VICTIMS:Shields = Normal, Infinite Ammo enabled, Grenade Regen enabled, Weapon Pick-up enabled, No Motion Sensor, Forced Color = Black. GOD:Invulnerable, Player speed = 125%, 75m Enhanced Motion Sensor, Forced Color = White.
    Suggested maps: The Mansion = 6-16 Players (CLUE-specific map):The Pit, Guardian, Epitaph = 6-8 Players: Snowbound, Isolation, Narrows = 8-12 Players: Construct, Highground= 12-16 Players
    Suggested Players: 6+

    Grifball Slayer

    Brief Description: Grifball gone slayer style (the oddball acts as the bomb).
    Settings: Team, 50 points to win, gravity hammer/energy sword start, no sheilds, 200% damage, 3 second respawn no matter what (suicide or betrayal), 1 point for kill, no points for carrying ball, no points for taking out ball carrier, ball carrier has 3x oversheilds, forced color orange, no weapons on map.
    Suggested maps: Narrows, or any symmetrical map.
    Suggested Players: 4-8

    Laserball

    Brief Description: Basically, everybody runs around frantically to get the oddball, and when you do get it, you instantly see 10 red lasers pointing at your head. That is where the 50% gravity and 300% speed comes in. You have to maneuver yourself around the map by jumping and quick turns to stay alive and rack up ball time. The first person to 250 seconds wins!
    Settings: FFA, everyone has a spartan laser, infinite ammo, grenade regeneration, 300% Speed, 50% Gravity. no weapons on map.
    Suggested maps: Sandtrap, Valhalla
    Suggested Players: 3+

    Slayer Section

    CE Slayer

    Brief Description: Slayer variant simulating Combat Evolved gameplay.
    Settings: 110% run speed, 90% shields, 90% damage resistance, and magnum as secondary weapon.
    Suggested maps: My Chilron TL34 remake, Any remade Combat Evolved map

    CoD4 Oldschool

    Brief Description: A universal gametype that gives players the feeling that they are playing Call of Duty 4 while in reality they are playing Halo 3. Built and designed for Call of Duty 4 like battles.
    Settings: 200% gravity, no motion sensors, SMG/magnum start, 50% health, 50% sheild recharge, A kill is worth 5 points, assist is worth 1 point, and 250 points to win.
    Suggested maps: Any, but maps with human weapons only feel more like CoD4.

    Invisi-Snipe

    Brief Description: ...What if... you could not see your opponnent...what if...you could not sense the threat...what if... the same went for your adversary? The name says it all, inisible snipers.
    Settings: Team, sniper/plasma pistol start, 125% movement, poor camo, 10 feet (sensors), forced color black, no sheilds, headshots +2, assassination +1, stick +1.
    Suggested maps: Snowbound (see footprints), Guardian, and Narrows.
    Suggested Players: 2+

    Nades N Spades

    Brief Description: Melees and stickies score you points, everything else is moot.
    Settings: Team, melees and sticks are the only way to score, plasma pistol start, infinite ammo, grenade regeneration, no weapons on map.

    I Ninja?

    Brief Description: Super crazy/delux ninja chaos guaranteed! Are YOU ninja?
    Settings: FFA, 25 Points to win, sniper/energy sword start, infinate ammo, regenerating grenades, no starting grenades, 300% speed, 50% gravity, no suicide penalty, 3 second respawn no matter what (suicide/betrayal), no weapons on map, custom powerup gives poor camo (everything else is unchanged), no radar, forced color black.
    Suggested maps: Guardian (It is great fun when everyone is flying off the edges of the map!)

    VIP Section

    Spies Vs. Mercs

    Brief Description: One team is comprised of Mercenaries and one team is comprised of spies. The objective of the game is to kill the other team's players until your team has scored 50 points.
    Settings: Team, Spies: Good active camo, athletic (75% gravity and 150% speed), enhanced motion tracker, 125% damage, infinite, ammunition, limited to pistol only, no grenades, no shield. Mercenaries: Shielded, can use any weapon, infinite Ammunition, regenerating grenades, 150% damage, no motion tracker.
    Suggested maps: Snowbound (you can see footprints!), Highground, but any small to medium sized maps work nicely.
    Suggested Players: 4+

    Vehicular Laser Tag

    Brief Description: Everyone has splazers and mongooses are on the map. Have the VIPs ride around and murder eachother for points!
    Settings: Team, spartan laser start, mongooses only on map, only VIP can do damage, non VIP's have waypoints and are invulnerable.
    Suggested maps: Large maps such as Valhalla.
    Suggested Players: 4+

    It's tough to win. It takes a lot of cunning on the Juggernaut's part, as well as the normal players. Do you try to hunt him down in a group and risk getting killed when becoming Juggernaut, or go solo and risk getting killed by the Juggernaut?

    You really should stop advertising this thread in the shoutbox. I admire the idea, but just let it live its life. The unfortunate part of this forum is that there's waaaay too much focus on the maps and forum etiquette (both necessary), and not enough on fun gameplay. I'll keep my fingers crossed that this thread does grow, though. FH needed something like this.

    Thanks everyone for their contributions! I hope that this thread does catch on though I think that having some extra gametypes is good for everyone!

    Infection 343 is a pretty good Classic Zombies gametype. (Halo 2 zombies)

    Unfortunatly you can't set it to only human weapons on map. Thanks Bungie, I would much rather have only Brute Shots.

    There is already a thread on Standard Gametypes in the Competitive Maps Section:

    FH Standard Gametypes

    If you have a good gametype that can go there then post in that thread... if the gametype is deemed good for a standard, then it will go on the list.

    I am locking this thread for this reason... follow the link. It is run by Titmar, so if you want to check if the gametype it good enough, contact him.

    Alright... so I recieved a PM about this and the guy had a good point. This is now the mirror of the FH Standard Gametypes list. It will be for the random gametypes you guys play. If something is good, I strongly suggest you guys refer the creator to the FH Standard Gametypes thread.

    There was an oddball game we played a lot with 3 balls, too... I don't quite remember the rules, but I'll post it here when I get it posted to my file share.

    I have a couple here:

    Alien Vs Predator :viral:

    Download

    The age old struggle of god-like warrior versus annoying bitey things. In this infection game, the zombies are the xenomorphs, who must find and kill the Predators so that they can produce new alien brethren. The aliens have increased speed and energy swords to slice people up, while the Preds carry spartan lasers for plasma-casters and a bruteshot simulating their blades and other weapons. They also have limited invisibility and infinite ammo. Let the hunt begin!

    Beatball (Oddball)

    In Beatball, you must race for the oddball and grab it to receive a speed and jump bonus. To score, you must score a kill with the ball by whacking people in the face with it. It's as simple as that.

    Cant really make a whole thing about it, cuz i dont really know most of it, but i do know its FFA Slayer, 1 Hr time limit, no score limit, 300 speed, 50 gravity, 1st weapon grav hams, 2nd random, 3 sec respawn times

    i think thats it..if i find it on bungie, ill get the whole thing nice and stuff

    To get this thread back on track...

    Vehicular Laser tag (no link, sorry, but somebody - preferably a FH noob - should make it and host if for us)

    Everyone has lasers, lots of mongooses on the map, and only the VIP can do damage. The non VIP's have markers above their heads, but are invulnerable. Have the VIPs ride around and murder eachother for points. (not my idea, so don't give me any credit)
