    Indroduction Difficulty: Steady Hand

This guide is going to be 3 parts long, this first episode will cover how I built a new and improved elevator, that both goes up and down. I really do love making anything with switches or anything really to do with making mechs in halo 3.

I have made alot of maps and have posted 2 of these maps on ForgeHub here are those 2 maps (Have a look at the mechs envolved):

^ Use of gate technology, with dumpsters.

^ Use of my custom elevtor that goes up and down

The Halo 3 elevator - How it works

After having a look at the watchtower thread, theres a link on there that will take you to a demonstration on how to use the elevator, watch the vid, and have a play with it yourself just to ensure you know what the finished build should be like.

Download the following how to use the elevator video:

Here is screenshots of my map The Watchtower, to show what a good elevator could look like if you take the effort and time.
This elevator is made from fence walls, which is seriously alot harder if your impatient I suggest you use walls.

    Step One
    - Place a crate carefully use interlocked to make a tube around it remember not too tight and REMEMBER to add an entrance:

Step Two - Now make it 3 floors high eg: three walls high.

Step Three - Make a floor to rest a placeable grav lift TWO floors high

Step Four - Float qlitch the stopper on top! make sure its staight.

Step Five - Place the 2 propane buttons (makes elevator go down) on top of the floor with grav lift.

Step Six - Ofcoarse the sniper for shooting the deployed grav.

    Hope this helps.

Well I'm sure this will be helpful to many people. I'm glad that new switches are constantly being developed. I'm not sure I understand the purpose of the propane tanks fully though.

Watch the video I prepared, honestly my design is worth seeing, I'll tell you anyways...
Once you go up, you use the sniper to shoot the DEPLOYED GRAV then, once thats shot all you do it shoot the two propane tanks, which will destroy the 2nd grav lift and take you back down!

    Its really fun.

    xx
