K, with this new map, i wanted to give people a challenge, and i hope this map delivers. The map consists of two basses which are next to each other, but inaccessible to each other. the both lead out into an arena area. the two basses are completely blocked off, with only 1 door for exit blocked by a shield door. just outside the basses is a shed with a mongoose in, and i think you'll like the way out =D in the arena area, there are numerous walls, and three structures at the back, a castle like place and two sentry like buildings on each side. Now for the twist, outside, there are no weapons, no equipment and no re-spawn points, also, there is no way to get back into your base, once your out, your out, and thats the challenge. once your out of ammo, you have to start bashing your way to victory. of corse, it takes quite a few rounds to kill people, so i made my own game type where everybody does double damage and has half shields. In the basses i've put a lot of weapons. this is my second map i've made, and the first time i've used interlocking. if you've got any ideas on how to improve it just say, and be brutal, i dont mind =) Front view of the main basses Inside of one of the main basses With the shield doors, grenades cant easily be thrown in or out Although, some well aimed grenades can make it through The armory The vehicle shed... actually this looks cool. i think the bases could be improved, because you could make it in the bases. but otherwise good job
Look ok, but I have seen plenty of maps just like this one. Try using some of the Forging 101 techniques, they will make this map much better.3/5
i was good up until armory thats a big no no. Two interlock everything and three use the bottom of boxes for floors they're much smoother
You had me until the part of the armory, and only one way out. It is too hard to quickly grab the weapon you want in an armory. And someone could just walk up the ramp and be in a place where nobody could get them. Try making more than one way out of the base (i.e. Mancannons)...
even though everyone said it, i'll say it too. i hate armories. they are my biggest pet peeve of forge EVER! the map just looks average. nothing to be excited about. fix the armory (get rid of it and put the weapons on the map) and make the rest a little more interesting aesthetics-wise. do that, and the map will be a lot better and prone to downloads. Edit: how are the base unaccessable to the other team? it looks like you can walk right in and out. mabye use teleporters?
yeah for some reason everyone bugs when you put an armory in your map but for this type of game play its sort of necessary gameplay 4/5 map 3.5/5
how does it look like you can just walk in??, the basses aren't the bits at the back, thats the only thing i can think of that your mistaking the structures at the back for the actual basses. download and play, then you'll know what i mean.
I agree that armories really affect game play thats why its smart to spread weapons all over the map not just att a spawn.
Why the armory!!??! The main part looks nice, but I disagree with the shield doors preventing easy grenade throws. I find it easier, because I can throw at you and you can't stick me.
I can see where everyone's coming at with the armory thing, but there's not much space in the basses, i can spread them out a bit though. the whole point of the shield doors is so you cant camp in the bass and just throw grenades out, but again, i can see where your coming from. the whole point of the map is to test your skills at conserving ammo and dealing without it, thats why i don't want weapons outside of the basses. ill take all your suggestions into consideration and you can expect a v2 in the coming weeks =D

Looks kinda plain and i usually don't like armorys because they arent normally really fun because you don't have to fight for the weapons that you want because you start with them. I like how you used the long forgotten back of foundry and the ramp is awsome. Not a bad map though.
