Ive noticed that when testing my maps that i spend all my resources on one base/structure causing one team to hopelessly outgun the other, meybe i get too carried away, any suggestions would be great. P.S.-I posted this here because i didnt find a forge forum that this would fit in.
Did Forge Discussion not jump out at you...I would advise starting knowing exactly what you are doing, then build it or try symmetry: one object for one object on the side for the next base
Try pre-planning out your map... remember how many objects you have and divide it in two to figure out how many you can use for each base.
Yeah, a great way to do this is instead of just mentally keeping track of what you have to work with, physically separate them out on the map. When i go to make bases that I don't necessarily want to be symmetrical, but I want to be even, set aside the boxes, walls, etc. that way you can keep track of them without planning a whole base and realizing that one base has 2 more boxes on accident through counting errors, or because you got carried away. Leave the set representing the parts for the second base alone while you construct the first, then construct the second base.
