1.BlazeIsGod his maps are so good and has clean interlocking his maps also inspire me and always have a new feature in his maps. 2.Matty is a very good map maker and has clean interlocking and he also comes up with fun minigames! 3.i really don't have a 3rd one.
Cosmic Rick - so... creative... head... explosion... Matty - In nobody else's maps have I ever had such a complete and well-rounded experience. Furious D 18 - I still play Unchained to this day.
Well early inspirations for me were furious d and gravedigger. They inspired me to come visit the wordpress forgehub(lol) where i was thoroughly impressed by everyone. -Gravedigger's always full of ideas and i discovered him after he told me my last resort lotr map just looked a "pile of boxes". I believe he had a classes map on last resort that i adored. -Furious D gave me amazing feedback on a few of my maps on bnet and he's still throwing out good, creative maps. Solaris and unchained for example. -A recent discovery was SargeantSarcasm. I took him as a likeable **** of a friend and had no idea of his forging talents until i actually watched him forge. Everything has to be perfect or it's garbage when it comes to him. His insane ideas are endless and he's thought of every single possible map before they were even forged by others. -TDF, Yavi, and Shock are also stand out forgers. Shock's pretty much the nicest guy here in my opinion.
3.Matty- Just overall great maps, and they are so diverse. 2.Coolant- I know, such an old forger, but he set the example for aesthetic maps. 1.Brute Captain(The Yellow)- Just overall amazing and breathtaking maps. I dl them before looking at the pictures. My favorite forger.
Blaze is God - maps can't get any more unique than that. TD Harding - I play on Renegade all the time and his geomerging is sick. Cosmic Rick - Come on a conveyor belt.
1-Cosmic rick- some innovative creative maps. He pisses me off sometimes though and i always think to myself, damn, why didnt i think of that. 2-BlazeIsGod- He's an extremely unique forger, started this postt, got featured, ands will be a premium soon. He's also friendly, and probably doesnt sleep very much, neither do i. 3-Mallet-extremely unique and innovative maps, almost never using default floor. gradient was awesome, and mallet won LMC, too bad ima have to take mallet down in LMC2 ; ) 4- Bloumbas- I love myself, and i did make at leat one awesome map. = )
1. BlazeIsGod: Your the best person for any fence wall work. You help others with their maps and are cool. Favorite Map = Martydom. 2. TheSilenceBroken: Really good at making small maps. Is in a band and plays bass (lulz)... Uh, that's all I can think of right now... Favorie Map = Bayonetwork. =P 3. Weremidget: He's the user that basically got me to join ForgeHub. My favorite forger here on ForgeHub, or elsewhere is Shock Theta. The precision he uses to place his objects have always amazed me. Gameplay for all his maps are spot on, from day one. Earlier Creations Control Room The first map I played by him was Control Room. The ingenuity of his map left me awestruck. It combined Slayer and KoTH without becoming too hectic. The "switch" to the top room was too advanced for it's time; as switches are only now catching on. All in all, this was a groundbreaking map, and has stolen a spot in my heart. The Citadel The second creation of his I played was "The Citadel". While confusing to first time players, the map shone when seasoned veteran players played. The same goes for this map as it did for "Control Room", it was exceedingly advanced for it's time in a technical aspect. A true team could execute the grav lift destroy, get through the base, and capture the flag in a matter of minutes; differing from the FFA gameplay shown in "Control Room". This is when I knew he was a great forger. Foundation While not a huge player of H2, I instantly saw the utter resemblance between these two maps. While not as innovative as his old maps, this map was still a gem in the days of early interlocking. Interlocked Creations When the style of maps shifted from aesthetically awful to flipped over interlocked boxes that made it aesthetically pleasing, Shock Theta kept his place as an amazing forger by pumping out beautiful maps. The Chute With "The Chute", Shock went back to his roots by creating an ingenuitive switch, but made it an aesthetic masterpiece at the same time. This map was very fun to play, and a forge map is not a success unless the players enjoy playing. 1v1 Maps Shock created so many masterpieces for the 1v1 Tourney, it was incomprehensible. I'll leave you to ogle these maps, as they are some of the best ever created. M274 Raceway Once, Shock tried to make a racetrack. While not being my favorite map by him, it was still a great map. The split in the road gave it a flare, and maybe it was a metaphor for something only Shock will know. Bastion Bastion is Shock's most recent creation. This map included a 5 minute switch, one of his best creations. The geometry looked amazing, and he made teleporters work in gameplay. The end.
In general, I think what the difference between a good and great Forger is design skills, which is why my favorites are probobly... 1. Shock Theta - You don't really know someone until you Forge with them for what feels like forever, and during Duel of the Fates I got to know Shock pretty well, I think. And he got to know about my singing. Lol. Shock really does do design, and seemed to be among one of the only people who understands my designs. He also uses Sketchup, which I only wish I could get into, but my 3d skills are pretty fail. 2. Furious D 18 - I remember ogling at all of his maps when they came out at how beautiful they were. By now, even Exacted doesnt look all that great, but what sets Furious apart is his designs. See, if you just go 'I'm going to make a map', sure you might make a great looking map, but gameplay wise? Its almost all the time boring, not well balanced, doesnt flow well, whatever. None of that applies to any of Furious's great designs and aesthetics. 3. Cosmic Rick - Though sometimes in some of his maps I feel like no design is used, some of his maps strike me as among the best designs I've ever seen. Examples: the underrated Elation, Kentucky Tango, Pallet Parade.
Shock is my favorite person to Forge with, if only to screw up with his maps and add rocket launchers to his raceways. =P
At the moment, BlazeIsGod is my favourite because of the rate at which he churnes out maps. These maps of course are all amazing. Martyrdom, which is probably the latest creation, looks nothing like foundry and the structures that he has made in it are something else...
Almost Everyone Has Posted he people i would put up... Matty-Inspiration BlazeisGod-B-E-EH-YOU-TIFUL maps... Furious D 18-Just plain AWESOME! But...I Really like THE ABCrew...I like waiting to see what the next map will be..like a kid at christmas right before opening all his presents...anticipating..imagining...just great guys...
i have come to appreciate N1NJ4's forging. i played a map with him the other day and it was truly amazing. i dont even know what it was called but theres a chance it might be in the 2v2 tourney.. but yes i do love his work
