Map Title: "Left Turn Only" Diehard Mongoose racin'. Use the shield doors! Download Map Download Gametype Description: In this game, people spawn at the starting line and quickly jump on their mongoose. Since this is an oval track, all turns will be left turns. After the first turn, you are face-to-face with the ramping system. This includes teleporters, mancannons, and a VIP Goto Point (for a lap). The teleporters stop people from walking through the laps over and over again in quick succession. The mancannons shoot "cars" (mongooses) through the air headed for turn 2. All four turns feature shield doors (tires). The shield doors help out immensely in your struggle to turn. The fourth and last turn has a Shield Door Jump preceding it. You could "keep right" and go the very safe route, but safe isn't quick. If you keep left, you can hit the shield door jump and land on the bridges leading to turn four. I would suggest with any lack of speed inbetween turn 3 & 4 to take the safe route, although that is up to you in the end. This course is best played with the gas all the way to the floor. Everybody must form teams of one. Everybody must be on their own team. This is to allow everyone to be a "VIP" and make "laps". ------------- Suspended above the racetrack, this is where players start. looks great! it seems well made and cheat proof. are the players invisible and invincable? because in the map i made i had to add an extra penalty for killing another teams vip.
Yeah, it is a little plain. It is also easy to race but "veteran" mongoose racers will still overcome someone newer to the machine. Players are invisible. Players aren't invulnerable because it wouldn't allow them to kill themselves for trying to cheat. There is no -1 VIP takedown point. I haven't had a problem with people killing each other. Most of the time if someone tries to fire at someone, they because visible and then the rest is their fault. Thanks for viewing.
It was very fun to play with a couple of my friends. but i let you know how fun it is with 8 or more people when i get on next and test it again
emphasis added I only have 8 mongooses on the track, so somebody is going to have to climb on with someone else. No worries, though.
This looks pretty tight. Simple is always better, and this looks very clean. mrod, I am diggin' the Michael Huff sig; you raiders fans are going to have a h*ll of a safety in a couple years.
