Built On: Guardian Name: Old Ruins Description: Old Covenant base on a long abandoned planet. 2-8 players. Best on Slayer. This is my first map that I am posting and probably my most detailed map other than ones forged on Foundry. Hopefully, I have accomplished my main goal of making a fairly more detailed map than the original Guardian and added a few twists and turns to it. This is just the first version of Old Ruins. I will eventually add more game type variation upgrades such as CTF, VIP, and territories. Some keys to understanding parts of the map: 1) Not all respawn times are perfected yet on weapons, scenery, etc. If I receive enough positive feedback I will go back and change all of the times. 2) Blue room: Has a teleporter that is somewhat hidden that will place above the map in the center in one of two positions, each with a power up. (It randomly sends you to one or the other, making it a bit more interesting. 3) Yellow room can be accessed upstairs from the middle by: 1) Using the grav lift and going over the two crates or 2) Jumping through the crevices on either side and avoiding the grav lift. Old Ruins can be downloaded at: Bungie.net : Bungie Online : Halo 3 File Share Map screenshots are located at: Bungie.net : Bungie Online : Halo 3 Screenshots I would appreciate any feedback, ratings, reviews or questions you may have. Thanks for your time.
I'm glad you read the rules, next time, try to do it before posting. Atleast you read the rules, most people don't. I expect to see those images up soon.

Been awhile since I've had to. This is the first forum I've ever really used regularly. Well I'm starting to anyways. Sorry again.
Well this map looks perrrrrty good partner. [o]I like the scenery [o]Not so sure on weapon placement [o]Overshield and Camo in same place?
I like the scenery, it adds a nice touch and feel to the map of what you're trying to get at. I'm not sure about the weapons and such but it look good aside from those things. Good work.
Yeah I agree on the weapons. Most maps I've built have been with/for my girlfriend and I to play on and she loves the extra weapons so it's kind of habit. But I think I am going to take out some of the weapons. Has anyone found the energy sword? If so, tell me if you like the idea. I haven't seen anything like it before. And for the powerups, I finally figured out how to maneuver around to get both, but it takes a lot of effort and on the next update, I will probably put something up there to prevent it. I just like the idea of the random teleporter that puts you at overshield or active camo randomly. Thanks for the comments everyone
I don't think that there is a problem with the amount of weapons, just the placement. It looks pretty good too, GJ for no foundry lol.
If anyone has suggestions about the weapon/placement or amount, I really would love some pointers.. That is one thing I'm not really good with at all
From the screenshots that looks like a good slayer map Is it possible to get both Camo and Overshield by going through a teleporter
The teleporter in the blue room sends you to one randomly, so you really never know which you'll get.. I went through it about 10 ten times when I set it and it was like 6 to 4 ratio on which it went to. But right now, since I found out about a few minutes ago, you can get to both by following the half circle around. It's pretty hard to do so I may just leave it for people that talented, or block it off somehow.. Any ideas?
I'm actually taking some new screens and adding a link for an updated version in the next few hours.. What exactly are you looking for in the screens?
