Think Rocket Race combined with Red Bull Air Race lol. Basically works the same way as Rocket race but its one person (VIP) to a team. Each player spawns next to an indestrucuble banshee and must use this to race to the checkpoints. First to ten wins. This game is easy to play and very very fun! MAX 4 PLAYERS! any more than four and someone will have to make do with a hornet which is very slow. Know what else you could have done you could have made it teams but vip flies like in your origanal map and have the other teamate be groung support and have weapons at there disposal that could take out the banshies i think that would make it a litte more challanging and a little more fun.
TBH its mainly just a race, If there are people on the floor with weapons it wud swing back towards a slayerish game as to kill a banshee it must be blown up killing the person inside. ATM everyone and everthing is invincible.
Ah, I remember making something exactly like this a few months ago. Glad to see someone else thought of it too. The only problem with this, is that there is no possible way to throw someone off their path, like in Brute Burnout or Rocket Race. Whoever happens to be closer to the next goal point wins.
Sounds fun but if a VIP knows the course better he can take a huge advantage over everyone else. I created a map like this but I was so good at it that nobody would play it and it just eventually died and was never posted. A few ore pics would be a nice touch.
VERY original! i love it! i will try it and see how it works. how many checkpoints are there, and are there any air obsticles (like falling fusion coils?!?)
I just got an idea, why not make it a air/ground race? there can be 4 teams of 2, one will be a ground support guy, the other air support, banshees would be in charge of getting the goals in the air, while the mongeese get the goal from the bottom. would that work maybe? oh wait, that would require more VIP's How about a race were you constantly have to be changing from mongoose to banshee. like it would be a normal race, but some of the points would be only reachable in the air, so the mongesee have to make a mad dash to the nearest banshee, then make some of the destination points only reachable by a mongoose, so they would be forced to get off there banshee. you see were im going at?
I'm surprised I havent seen this done before, its sounds awesome. Multiple Banshees heading towards the same location in the sky, what could go wrong? Its sounds like it'd be a blast.
You beat me to it! I was thinking of trying something like this, I was trying to make it for like the Air Race using Radio Antennae as pylons, but it didn't work out.
cool chris - there is no point having multiple pictures of go-to-points in the air is there? the map is very basic..... spawn, get in a banshee, fly to the checkpoint/
