Nah, I didn't think so. I guess I'll just deal with it. Thanks for your help! Also, pvilleplayer92: Interesting ideas with the cameras and the lights, but I don't think it's likely Bungie will add anything like that. Also the scenery ideas are interesting but again, I don't think Bungie will add any new items to an existing map. However, in this last week's Bungie update, Lukems wrote: "X Foman123 x asks: The forums have been abuzz with requests for a new “Foundry”-style map that is larger, outdoors, and better suited for creating maps for large parties, are there any discussions about a larger, more open map for from-the-ground-up Forge creations? Last time someone asked a question about this there were entire legions of upset e-folks because we didn’t give them a straight answer. Thankfully, your question is so laser-focused on the “discussions” about a new Foundry-style map so I can give you an answer - Yes, there are discussions about Foundry-style maps." I don't know about you, but that confirmation makes me really excited!
Errr...I've been away from the conversation, so I have no idea what just happened >.> Insane, could you quote me the Q & A out of that back n forth?
I have a pile of fusion coils that's set to never respawn, but I made an error in building my map and they all explode the instant a round starts. Is it impossible to delete them, since they never respawn for me to grab them?
I think I have a good question! Every time I save my map and end the game, all the objects I placed out get messed up. When I place them out they look perfect, but in the next game they are bent/crooked. I think it happens because I'm the connection host or something. I've played a game with DA HITMAN 117 (I was the host) and he says the objects are bent when I place them out. So he can see them as they actually are but I can't. Is there any way to fix this? And am I the only one who's having this problem?
When Forging online, sometimes objects wont show where they really are to the player who isn't host. For best results, use the Local option.
Here's what I've found. Often times, this is because you're holding the items when you save the map, and you're holding them against a wall or something (evidenced by the repetitive banging sound). What this means is that the item's location is only that way because of the physical boundary of the map's geometry, or the other non-movable items (hereforeto "static" items, while movables are "dynamic"). What's happening is that very quickly (faster than even a progressive scan can show), the item is popping out of the map and being thrown back in - this is the banging noise you hear. When you save with the item in this state of banging against the wall (or other static item, like a box), what often happens is that the item is saved somewhere between being outside the map and being thrown back in. This results in the crooked and off angles that you're talking about. Here's how to fix it. Using the left trigger and the Y-Axis (read: up and down) on your right thumbstick in forge-mode, adjust your grip on the item. Basically, get it so that the object is resting in place without any banging noises (by whatever means you need), save, quit, and start up, and everything should be right where you left it.
What you could do is save and quite a bridge or double box or some immovable object under the fusion coils little white teardrop things. So then they just all spawn on the bridge making them possible to delete.
Jpec07: You're suggestions sounded promising because I tend to jamb all my pieces together (making that knocking sound), so I though maybe that's what my problem (and maybe Pig's too) is. However, I just spent the last 2+ hours placing and replacing a double box I had in mid air, only to go back into the game to find it crooked. I tried EVERYTHING; braced it on all sides using walls/teleporters, I even put a fence wall underneath for it to sit on. But no matter how many times I gently placed that box on the fence wall, it would still turn out crooked after I went back in from the save/quit. However, I did start to notice that every time I went back in, it was crooked the same way. It was always rotated a little bit to the same side, so I think what's going on is that the other boxes that are slightly embedded in it put some kind of force on different points of the box causing it to tweak to one side or the other. That being said, I have no idea how to fix it! Any ideas? (Sorry for the huge post!)
So you're interlocking? That puts a new spin on things. Invite me to your room next time you're forging this, and I'll see if I can't help you out. Gamertag: Forgotten Wing.
Try to put a box up against a wall facing the direction you want your wall to face and then push the wall right up next to the box and it should face be perfect.
Anyone found a spot where you can put a teleporter in the bases of standoff? I want them inside, not near a door, they always say it's blocked, I think because the roofs are too low.
how to make a spinning grav lift I know the answer to make a spinning gravity lift you put 3 weapon holders facin different directions together making a squarish shape now make the grav lift spawn after 10 seconds or it wont spin. Done easy as pie.
...I'm not sure you get the point of this thread, Cobra, it's for people who don't know to ask questions, and for the people who do know, such as you and me, to provide answers willingly. It is not a place for experienced members to taunt the younger members with talents, tricks, and knowledge that they have, and then make the less-knowledgable members guess desperately in an attempt to figure it out. Your post is not only rude and inconsiderate, but blatantly arrogant and ignorant of the thread's actual purpose. And yes, I know this is off-topic, but it needed to be said. Now, if you would, please enlighten the rest of the community as to how this trick is performed.
I have a question, how do I stop items from disappearing when I have them close together, for example, I am trying to make a dodge ball map on foundry and I have barriers close together and whenever a start a new round, like 5/20 of them disappear. Can anyone help?
