Should I get Civ 4 for my new iMac, or Civ Revolution for my 360? I used to have civ4 for my pc, but it was slow there. Now I have 4 gigs of ram, so hopefully it will run much faster. Civ 4 was complicated though, so I am wondering if I should get Civ revolution. thoughts?
Revolution I got Revolution a couple weeks ago and it's a lot of fun. Very time consuming, though. Because it's turn based, a game of online multiplayer can easily take 5 hours.
Get the computer version. While Civ 4 is complicated, you will have more fun with it. Civ Revolution is extremely watered down, compared to what I though it would be. Less units, shorter, but it is faster paced though, so it depends on what your preferences, though I prefer old skool, and rather had Civ 3. More realistic, more kickass.
I have had Civ 4 for my PC and currently have Civ Revolution for the 360. Civ Rev is certaintly much faster paced and frankly more streamlined version of Civ 4. In making the game they cut out a lot of the little nitty gritty techs and replaced them with a simpler more efficient tech tree. To quote the developer "Why have saddle making and Horse Breeder techs when we could just have Horsemanship tech". World maps are also smaller in Civ Rev which makes for faster games. Firaxis games also update Civ Rev each week with a game of the week scenario to play which is quite fun to see where you rank on the leaderboards. If you liked Civ 4 for the PC then you will definately like Civ Rev for the 360 if you want someone to play Civ Rev with then i would definately be up for that as i love the game but do not have many on my friends list who own it.
I guess I will get civ 4 for mac because I have always liked workers and all the wonders and stuff. I just never got too into production and stuff.
