Martyrdom Created by: BlazeIsGod Martyrdom is a semi-symmetrical map that is based around a sewer system, or more precisely, the ruined pipe system of a sewer facility. Utilizing the seldom used back area of foundry, Martyrdom takes up around half of the available space within foundry, and has a unique design about it. Blaze has configured boxes to look like they were large old sewer pipes, which now act as cover, and sometimes weapon holders during gameplay. BlazeIsGod has also used the symmetrical/a-symmetrical option to allow for different styles of play when playing on different gametypes. These changes are mainly weapon changes, which allow for a different experience, whilst still keeping the fair gameplay that this map enjoys. The Aesthetics play a huge part in Martyrdom, they keep the feeling of a derelict sewer alive whilst still somehow fitting in with the default foundry. The most obvious features are the large pipes, but there are many minute features that just add to the overall feeling of the map. I agree, Blaze has made so many awesome maps. I love the awkward structures in this map. They work so well and create interesting gameplay. Congrats on the feature Blaze. It won't be long before you become Premium...I just know it!

I've played on this map- it looked really nice, but I didn't like the weapon placement. There were 3 close-range weapons in the middle (hammer, shotty, plasma pistol), I didn't like how you could grab the grav hammer and drop down for the shotgun. Also, there were spawn points right next to the flamethrower, and I really don't support spawning next to power weapons. Also, there was a human sniper rifle and a beam sniper in the same room, right next to eachother, and in the "symmetrical" room on the other side, there was only a regular sniper, if I remember correctly. Great structure and interlocking, but the weapon placement broke it for me. Sorry.
woohoo blaze got a map featured, this map really deserves it. The 'pipes' are trully beautifully made. I also love how you used the back area of foundry. The map plays very well. I enjoy playing a good old game of team slayer on it. Keep up the good work blaze cant wait to see your next map.
this is such a great map! The geo-merging is perfect and the interlocking is great! the gameplay also looks insanely good! good job!
this is a GREAT feature. theres been a lot of unoriginal maps popping out in the forums lately... but this one popped off the screen as totally unique. the use of the foundry bases is epic and Blaze really pulled that off well... a lot better than other people have tried at least. the pipes are a unique structure that i haven't ever seen done before... that slanted one is slightly erousing as well... i've had a chance to play a couple games on this, and i was not disappointed at all. the map played very well, and it had some of the most fun gameplay i've played on a forged foundry map. this definitely deserved the feature... congrats Blaze.
Definately deserved. I think Bayonetwork should have ben featured before it but man this map is awsome. I played it for the first time last week with Bl00d F1r3 and Saberwing 9875. It was a blast! Very origonal to use the foundry bases and hall ways instead of the main area like most of the other featured maps. Great work 6/5 lol
