Map: Bungie.net : Community : Forum Topic Listing : Forum Reply Listing Gametype: Bungie.net : Community : Forum Topic Listing : Forum Reply Listing This description is just the one I wrote up on Bungie.net As the title says, this long-time-in-the-making infection map+gametype is extremely fun and allows you to witness firsthand what it's like to snipe zombies from a rooftop, or be one of those zombies that enters and infects. There's a three-story building with a gate/barricade that the zombies must break through to infect the humans. The humans can initially shoot from the rooftop (obviously), two windows on the third floor, and four on the second. They all start out on the first and must quickly get their asses up to the top. They all have infinite ammo sniper rifles and a single turret* on the roof, but nothing else, to take down the zombies, which adds to the suspense if a zombie makes it through (and you'll know if they do, more on this later) The zombies start in either of the gray rooms at the end of the hallway in the back, and have the ability to pick up weapons, unlike the humans. They start out with swords, but can pick up various bubble shields and deployable covers, a gravity hammer (Which is a necessity to open the gate), a single battle rifle which only exists to annoy the humans, and the sniper rifles of any humans they kill. There is tons of cover for the zombies to hide, as they'll need it. Here's the biggest twist, though... The alpha zombie has 2000% damage resistance, but no shields. what this basically means is that it can only be killed with a headshot, which means you'll need teamwork and a good sniper to survive if you're a human. Regular zombies are unchanged with 100% shields and damage resistance, and they are zombie green instead of the alpha zombie's black. *The Turret will most likely only help you with regular zombies Hidden on the map is a custom powerup, this will benefit everybody in different way. Zombies - Turns them black, gives them powers of an alpha zombie, only faster Alpha Zombies - Makes them slighly faster Humans - Makes them nearly impervious to zombies, unless one of them has a sniper rifle or battle rifle and gets a HS Pictures:
This looks really well made. Although you could have interlocked the floors with the walls but i guess since you used bridges that doesnt matter as much. But the bridges still should have been flipped over. (makes it look nicer) But overall of the map it looks really well made. (as i stated already) Plenty of cover for the zombies and everything you deserve a good score. 4.5/5
They should have, but getting the bridges perfectly into place, for me, was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do in Forge. >_>
Not to be mean but there are a lot harder things then putting bridges in place in forge. But I still like how you made it look good with little merging involed. You did a great job.
You don't need to tell people to reply to your thread to bump it back up. That's not smart. If your map deserves feedback, then people will give it.
This looks like fun, but I have seen many maps like this...For your first map here though great job! also visit forging 101 for some tutorials on different techniques such as interlocking...
I certainly know how to make things interlock and float using the save changes trick, I just don't know how to fuse things with the geometry.
nice map 4.5/5 heres a link to how to geo-merge objectshttp://www.forgehub.com/forum/forging-101/1722-merging-immovable-objects-map-geometry.html
Would it be a good idea to remake it so it is better, cleaner, and interlocked, or would that just be a luxury?
That seems like an extremely original well thought out gametype and map. I am really glad you took the time to think through traits properly unlike most.. 5/5
