uh yea and u base this on what? Then how do u explain the virtually perfect correlation between co2 levels and temperature over the past tens of thousands of years? although global warming will have little to no effect on what happens in 2012(if something happens at all)
The world will neer end because of, armageddon, or a apocolypse, its going to end because of us and the o-zone layer, years and years from now the suns ultraviolet rays are going to get so powerful that they will literly melt the icecapes, which will cause floods. my opinion.
Although this is possible...I really do think think it is going to happen. But I really do think Europe and Asia are going to wage war soon, maybe even the USA will be involved, but on the fact that a meteor is going to hit Earth, I do not think so. I believe Science is advanced enough to predict a collision of an extra terrestrial object with the Earth at least 50 years into the future...
I think it is all fake, but if I wake up in four and a half years one morning and feel a huge impact, I will scream for my life. So what if some calender does not go past 2012, they might just not have decided to go father.
Yeah I think the world is going to end in 2012. I just wonder why they didn't make the calender go on forever. Its weird. I wonder why in the world they stopped. Lets all panic.

I think the Mayans were wrong, they used cycles. One of them was when the white men came. I think that they took the amount of time and said that in the same amount since the start of the calendar to white men that the world will end. And for the thing about Y2K, people were afraid that technology would shut down because computers could not date the year 2000. All it took was a patch of code.
all that is going to happen, is the rotation of the world, and the stars are going to be as little bit different. dont be scared.
On my theory of this the world will not end in 2012. The reason being is since 1972 the world has suppose to end approximately 7 times. Look we're still here. The matter of the fact is the reason being the world is suppose to end in 2012 is we have proof the Mayans were going to keep writing the calendar. But with the war they were having with Spain it was hard for them to write and when they were going to continue the Spanish had won the war and they lost the source of the calendar.
I agree with grif, I also think the mayans were wrong because it says there calendar stops in 2012, but that also could be when they were invaded or they just stopped working on it
They've been doing this for years, saying that it will end in 1990, 80 70 60 it goes on and on its really just a load of old crap, to be honest I do believe the world will end, but I think good will come of it.
Global Warming (even if it does exist) isn't going to end the world in only 4 years. It would be much longer. When I was forced to watch An Inconvenient Truth, I believe they said the first major effects would begin 50 years from now. So that's not even an argument (even though its in my OP)

I saw a show at History Channel about it. The Aztecs or Mayans I forgot who, they were the people addicted with calanders, anywho. They stopped the Universal Calandar which has predicted accuratly 95% of Comets, solstices, Tides, day light savings, and all this other stuff. But ironically there calander stopped at 2012. And I believe that there is suppose to be an allignment of solar systems or galaxies at december 12 2012. All of this was on the histoy channel. The theory on what is suppose to happen is that the Earths Crust will shift putting the U.S center middle plains in the north pole. all of this will happen in about 20 minutes destroying all the structures due to earthquakes and killing millions. The Mayans wre killed off during the 1300's the calander was finished 13 years after their death...
