For me I'm going to wait until my cousins buys both. Then I'll go to his house, and play them both, and that's when I'll make my decision. Judging games before they come out is never really a good idea.
GH is the clear victor here. There is one, single reason that GH: WT will always own Rockband, and if you're here on this forums I tihnk you can agree with me... SONG EDITOR. Yeah. It's like the Forge of Guitar Hero, any song you can think of coming to life at your fingertips, without having to save/quit 300 items in the air! Seriously, though, I already got 4 or 5 songs planned that I WILL make the second this game comes out... It will own. And Guitar Hero beats Rockband anyway. Screw Rockband's UI.
I would have to say Guitar Hero just because of song creator. Rock band is cool, but GH is just the original kickass music game. Other than the classic "Jelly Sings Choir Music and Plays Organ" by Square Enix. =)
Wow someone's rich! I'm not getting GH as you need different drums because there are 5 pads and not 4 like on Rock band .. If the RB drums work on GH i would just buy the game ..
I'm kinda more excited for Rock Band 2. ONLINE WORLD TOUR YAY. Plus, if you owned the first game, EVERY song from RB1 and all of the DLC you got will be transferred to RB2. I'll still get both (eventually, I'm not rich D
**** song creator. Customizing your whole band's appearance! From the drummer to the guitarist, the drum kit to the guitar. EVERYTHING about your band will be customizable in GH: WT. BTW, I go for Guitar Hero.
HERETIC! You can't seriously say that the song creator doesn't sound at least passably awesome... just think about it, any song you can imagine would eventually be playable on GH4. Even if you didn't go out and make the song yourself, someone else probably would, and then you could just download it.
Cymbals are just alternatives to the the drums. You can hit either the blue drum or the blue cymbal, but it still registers as blue. Plus, you can hook up an electric drum brain to the kit, and it turns into a electronic drum kit. Guitar Hero: World Tour Rock Band (couldn't get a good picture of the new drums :/)
With the song creator you can't add vocals....which is very dissapointing if you ask me. Its a cool idea, but it seems too limited by legal issues.
Song creation had me sold from the start, being the music-creationy type person that I am. Plus, I'm more used to the GH interface/notes and such.
Cricels= GH's awesome interface, specifically the sprites for their gems Squares=RB's shitty bars you try to shatter.
LOL guess we know where the bias lies? Hmm honestly..it's going to be hard to tell in advanced. GHWT has slap bass (damn awesome), and some kind of slide touch guitar crap. Song creation as well, but I think the drums look shitty. RB2 Has 500 song list (woooah?), and you can use your existing instruments. They are fixing the old problems of their instruments and you have those not completely necessary attachable symbols. I liked RB guitar better than GH, and from demos I've heard/seen I like RB's tracks better. Plus I only need to spend 50 bux on a new disc for RB, but 200 bux on a new pile of plastic for GH. Think I'll be grabbing RB2, and I'll have to see about GHWT.
Hi. I think i'm gunna get guitar hero world tour because of the song creation. Also i've played rock band and i didnt think it was that much better than GH3.
