I'm sure that like most of you, I keep forgehub in my internet explorer favorites list for quick access. However, unlike most every other site out there, forgehub does not have a small picture that appears next to it's name in the favorites list and next to it's web address at the top of the screen. It's just the boring sheet of paper with an "e" on it. I tried to manually change this myself by googling a picture of guilty spark and inserting it into the website's properties menu. This of course, did not work. So my questions are: why doesn't forgehub have an avatar in the first place, who would have the power to fix this, and what are your thoughts on this in general?
Mine does .. I use firefox .. Im sure you have to go on forgehub using the favourite a few times before it comes up ..
browser hmmm... I am running MSN and internet explorer. Perhaps it only shows up for certain browsers?
Yeah, my suggestion would be to switch to Firefox; they allow the FH avatar (the previously mentioned anvil) to show up in bookmarks/favorites. It blows anything MS has out of the water, trust me. You'll never want to go back to IE.
BTW, I haven’t seen that anvil icon actually on the site. Shouldn’t be used like in the Header or something?
It used to be in the older FH days. I'm sure it's still around here somewhere if you looked hard enough...
Yeah, I alternate sometimes between Firefox 3 and IE7, but I stick with Firefox most of the time, since 3 came out. Much more pleasant than 2. But, to the point: it doesn't show it on IE. It does on Firefox though. Here's what it looks like: If you're wondering why it's red over there, it's because this is part of another pic I was using for something else.
