Infection Map Pack I Aaronator I Supported Gametypes: Alliance Map Description You and your buddies have been captured by the Covenant. They put you through many test and this is one of them. Infamous Test Facility 73, also know as Alliance, test humans true feelings of betraying others for safety of themselves. In this test for the first 30 seconds you will be competing against other humans trying to get in the square of cones. After 30 seconds a barrier will appear around the one person in the square of cones. Also after 30 seconds the Flood will be released and allowed to jump over the barrier. Weapons will be placed in the test facility. You will now need to team up with your once enemies to take down the flood. You and your team send out a message on the radio- Hello.......is anyone there........this is Pelican 99........we have crashed down a little ways out from Voi...Pelican is severely damaged and cannot fly...........................................................[static] After hours of waiting your team decides to head of through the forest torwards Voi... Your team comes upon an old abandoned water treatment facility and nightfall is near. Around this facility is many weapons that dropped out of your Pelican before you crashed. You and your team suspect something erie about this place and you all hurry up and gather as many weapons as you can and meet in the central building before Nightfall... Map Description On this map you search the whole map for as many weapons and equipment you can get. After 45 seconds it will become evening and then 90 seconds into the game it will be nightfall. You need to be in the central building by nightfall otherwise you will be easily seen by the infected who have nightvision. All you have to do is hold your ground in the central building till daybreak. There are 7 'days'(rounds) Everyone the time for each round is 3 min on Nightfall. Your team is sent there to investigate. When the team gets there they are met by a surprise... Map Description The Humans try to survive as long as they can. In the base, there are two teleporters that take them to the lookouts so they can see what the Infected are doing. These maps look like you have put a good idea into it but I would like some infomation on what each gametype includes. It's nice to see each of the infection games are on different maps and that the gameplay has variety to it. Good pictures, 'stories' and descriptions.
i think you shouldve done strain23 instead of breach for the avalanche map but the ghost town map is fun i've been playing it for a while and the foundry map looks solid so i'll check it out good post 4/5
My Opinion: Alliance- Map: As a map, this map isn't anything special. But that's most likely because, like other maps, this one was created specifically for the gametype. So further comments will be in the game section. Lemme just say this map has brilliant design, but in building it doesn't use many advanced forging techniques such as interlocking. Game: This gametype is brillant. I like the general idea, and it should play out well. It's pretty original and well thought out. I can't make any comments on the weapon set since you don't have one listed... but i'm sure it'll be just fine if in the end the survivor can only find ~ one weapon. Improvements: -More Interlocks and Geomerges -(to post) Weapon set -Possibly larger with more alphas and a large safe zone for a larger party Final Comments and Rating: This is a brilliant gametype, but the map could be improved aesthetically, and possibly be more large. 8/10 Nightfall- Map: I like how you made nightfall eerie. This has been done multiple times before, but your nightfall scenery combo has a certain eerie look because of the yellowish color (from the juicy effect or the old-west one... i can't remember). The map seems well designed and hopefully the weapon set is balanced. Game: This gametype is one that has been done over and over again. Especially on Ghost Town. Epecially with the effect. There are a few individual tweaks (weapon scavenging)... but even those have been done before. Try throwing something in that's all your own... what that is exactly I'm not sure. I don't make the "boarded up" infection maps... anymore. Improvements: -Original Twist Final Comments and Rating: This map is pretty well designed and the gameplay is fun, but it's all been done before. Find your own original twist. 7/10 Breached- Map: There sure seems to be a few interesting structures... but not much else. The map seems barren and empty. And even if that's the look you're going for, people will see it as lazy and sloppy. Game: Pretty much basic infection. No new concepts. Also, people could go to the look out boxes and block the teleporter and live forever. Might wanna get rid of that. Improvements: -Not enough going on. Add more structures -Gametye isn't anything new or special. Not a problem exactly, but you may wanna make something original and well thought out -No look out boxes Final Comments and Rating: Add more to the map, it doesn't look like its done yet. Few structures and not a lot was done. 6/10 OVERALL MAP PACK: Summary and Rating: I'd spend more time in Forging 101 and more time forging the actual map. Overall the maps are good, but some aren't very original or just don't have enough going on. OVERALL RATING: 7/10 Hope to see more of your maps and welcome to ForgeHub.
i have had the Nightfall map made a long time ago and was going to release it but then decided to release it in a map pack.
They all are good maps, just kind of open, there aren't alot of structures and some of the pics aren't working.
