Kenshi Kenshi is my first true asymmetrical map on foundry. It features a water area, an area my friends call the house (which has a ghost underneath it), a separated base, a "safety" stairwell, and a sniper tower. The main feature though which is what I built the map around is a curved tunnel connecting two bases (one large, one small). There is also a structure with rockets in front of the larger tunnel base. Stairways that were placed next to walls I geomerged into the wall so there will be no lost grenades or falling and getting stuck. Anyway on to the pics. This picture shows the Rocket Room and the water area. This picture again shows the Rocket Room but also gives you a look at the tunnel and two bases. Inside the tunnel is where the shotgun is located. In this pic you see the Separated Base and the teleporter that leads to the sniper tower Here you see the " House" and how it connects to the large tunnel base. I dont have a good pic including them but notice in the corner there are some crates. Underneath the crates is a Sentinal Beam. Now here you see the water area. On the side you are looking at, you can break those pallets to find camo and two spikers WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT: Item/Respawn/Spare Clips Sniper Rifle/90 sec/2 spare clips Shotgun/90 sec/2 spare clips Rocket Launcher/120 sec/0 spare clips Needler/45 sec/1 spare clip 7 Battle Rifles/30 sec/2 spare clips 7 Assault Rifles/30 sec/2 spare clips Sentinal Beam/60 sec Turret/90 sec 2 Spikers/45 sec/2 spare clips 2 Maulers/30 sec/1 spare clip Brute Shot/45 sec/2 spare clips 2 Plasma Rifles/45 sec 2 Firebomb Grenades/20 sec 10 Plasma Grenades/20 sec 6 Frag Grenades/10 sec Regenerator/60 sec Bubble Shield/60 sec Energy Drainer/60 sec Trip Mine/90 sec Deployable Cover/45 sec Camo/90 sec Ghost/120 sec Forging 101 Tricks Used: Money Glitch Interlocking (not the cleanest but still effective) Geomerging Floating Objects Gametypes: Slayer (FFA or up to 4 teams) 1 Bomb Assault To download click the name up at the top Anyway thanks to all who download, comment, and rate. Like always constructive criticism is always welcome but no insults. Also with comments I do not want "Great job 4/5" or stuff like that. Please tell me why you liked the map or why you didnt so I know what to work on for next time because I have a fair amount of ideas shelved.
Looks like a fun map to play on 4/5 and a DL. PS...Some people (not me I don't care) don't like it when people take pictures in forge because they don't like seeing the spawns and stuff.
As many know, I love asymmetric maps, and this appears to have a solid layout. My only minor suggestion, should you update it, would be to drop some, if not all, of the small barriers located on top of the interlocked boxes by the A and B signs in the corner of the map. It looks a tad cluttered up there, and its generally a good idea to avoid giving too much cover to those who already have a height advantage. Like I said though, only minor suggestion. Other than that it looks pretty good from what I can tell from the screenshots. Keep it up. meh, i semi disagree. I wouldnt take forge shots for EVERY pic, but giving people the idea/comfort that you have some sort of grasp on spawn placement/direction is never a bad idea.
its a nice map and all but i must say there is a surplus of weapons and equipment maybe i'm just conservative in my weapon placement but you've got a LOT of stuff there
Nice job, I agree with LIGHTSOUT that you should get rid of some of the barriers on the separated base. Other than that I like the map, it was really enjoyable to play. I didnt get to play assault yet though. Anyway gl and continue to forge
Alright I'll make sure to get rid of some of the barriers on the separated base. Now any other tips I can use to improve my forging skills
