    this map is to die for because of its superiority to the original and the fact that you added the whole deadly dumpster traps in was pretty inovative, let us know if your going to make another map like this. :squirrel_blush:

    Thanks, guys. And you're right, version 2.0 is much MUCH better than the original. Turbo, thanks again for all the help. Glad you enjoyed your time (you're not one of the obnoxious 12 year-olds, lol). And the dumpster CAN be useful for both teams, so keep that in mind, attacking team. The dumpster respawns every 20 or 30 seconds, so it's hard to set up a complete block off, though you're right, it is possible.

    And thanks for the reminder. EVERYONE, YOU SHOULD SET ANY OBJECTIVE GAMETYPE TIME LIMITS UP A MINUTE OR TWO. Unless your attacking team is very, very cohesive and communicative, it's tough to get into the base in a default time-span. This map is meant for more drawn out, tactical assaults.

    Also, I am making another map... not quite as gimmickey as this one. It should be a more classic style assault/CTF map. Keep your eyes out. Damn... that means I have to upgrade to bungie pro...

    Looks really nice. I'll try it once I delete some other maps (stupid 100 map limit!)

    I'm finding it very difficult to make good maps which play well on all gametypes. Usually that idea becomes too limiting. The best maps seem to be the ones made for a specific gametype in mind and if by chance, they happen to work with other gametypes, that's great but I think that should be secondary.
    Last week I checked out your "Temple of Doom" map. Big time impressed with the spool and dumpster elements! It inspired me to start building another map. Finding ways to kill players by "the guardians" is so much fun! Keep up the good work!

    As always, thanks for the compliments, guys. Glad I could inspire somebody. And I think I have it fixed to work with most every gametype, now, just for the record. I just had to study some other maps to figure out how to do the spawning and objectives properly.

    I got a chance to check this out. I'm glad you added a side passageway. It has it's own strengths and weaknesses, as well as the fact that you need to unlock it. I still can't wait to get a group together to play this.

    Yeah, I'm really hoping to get a 'professional' review soon, in case there's anything left to fix up. Glad the community likes it so far, though.

    Anybody who likes this map should check out Portal Feud. It's my newest, has a few cool gimmicks like this one, and has a much different (more open, symmetrical) feel to it. Unfortunately, it hasn't been getting as much love as my other maps. *Sad face*

    apparently im not supposed to do what i did before, so what i meant was:

    great map man, soon as i spawned, i heard the mancannon and wondered what was going on, i soon found out...... the hard way. i like the way u set traps like that, my first death was a spool hitting me in the face..... two thumbs up!

    Sorry about that, everybody. I didn't know it was a faux pas to cross-promote within my own threads. And the other guy's post, though annoying, didn't take up any more room than a simple 'great map' would have. But, don't want to cross Yavi. My apologies.

    So, this map is still pretty heavy on the defensive side, but it seems pretty fair as long as you add a couple minutes to the round clock. I'd like to even it out a bit, though, without making any major changes to the layout. Any suggestions for weapon spawns or equipment placement?
