Deception is my newest map. It features two bases on top of eachother. Interlocking gives the map a clean look. Interlocked open single boxes and doors provide cover. Take one of two ways up from the bottom floor, take the doors interlocked for stairs, or take the gravlift. Set up for assault and team slayer. 3-4 players. Pictures of floor 1: View looking out of lower base Interlocked doors as stairs Interlocked doors and open single box Pictures of floor 2: Floor 2 base Interlocked door for cover This is my first time posting on forgehub, so please tell me if i did anything wrong, and if so, how to fix it. thank you. This post is not currently up to map standards. You need at least one embedded picture. You can do this from an image hosting site sugh as imageshack.us or photobucket.com. You have 24 hours to get your post up to FH standards, or it may get locked. In the meantime, any further posts in this thread talking about this not being up to standards or the lack of pictures or anything like that WILL be subject to an infraction... so don't. And Alec, NEVER double post, just edit your previous one. You have ot save those pictures to your computer then host them at imageshack or photobucket. its easy
The only problem would be the "stairs" in which you used doors to get from one level to the next. You wouldn't need the bottom door, just the top one.
Legit review, not complaining: it seems a bit small, so any games 2v2 might only be just ok. 3v3 is a strech and 4v4 wont work well at all. Also, you might want a few more spawn points, so far it is way to easy to spawn camp. Finally, the tiny ledge on the side of the grav-lift furthest from the spawn area is a perfect camp spot, i'd eliminate it. Oh and its quite open for that type of map, id put in a barrier or short barrier on both floors
excellent map. a little small but nicely interlocked. there are a couple things i would fix but otherwise its a great map. a little more moveable scenery would be nice and a weapon list
looks good, and i agree with stouf. next time, id use upsidedown bridges for the floors and use the walls for a ceiling instead. looks better and plays smoother.
oh, you're right, bridges would have been better, well, i guess i'll be hard at work changing this stuff for the next version
Good job, the interlocking is really clean, obviously it looks cramped, but you made it that way, and i love it. 5/5
