Sniper Practice Map

    Okay, I've taken everyone's feedback on the original and made a new version. It features two 'levels' - one basic, like the original, and one more advanced, featuring multiple man cannons and some scenery in the way. There's a fence wall separating them, for looks and to keep it clean. In addition, I changed the fusion coil Min/Max's so they're a little more random. Also I added BRs to both ledges, and teleporters connecting them. The BRs make it REALLY easy, but the 2x zoom is a lot easier than the snipers 5x, plus you aren't constantly reloading.

    Unfortunately, the new stuff gives up the simplicity of the old version. Oh well!

    New weapons area. Same thing - sniper, laser, with the new addition of the BR. Fast respawns. The teleporter leads to the other level.

    'Level One': pretty much the same as the first version.
    To the right, the new dual-fence wall seperates the two levels.

    New 'Level Two'. A lot more intresting...fusion coils hit multiple man cannons before blowing up, and there is some scenery in the way. The coils get going pretty fast.

    interesting concept.. might help those upcoming players who want to excel at sniping.. i'll download at give it a shot when i get my 360 back and free some space up

    The concept has been done.
    This seems to be one of the most basic, but also perhaps one of the most functional.
    Its simplicity may help.

    I wouldn't be surprised if it's been done before - I just recently got into forging, and this was the first idea that popped into my head. Thanks for the comments!

    This is a really good idea, but I rather play a quick MLG FFA to get warmed up, although I'm not saying this map is bad, its a really good idea, and how you made it is awesome also!

    Well I observed your pictures, Though I have not downloaded.

    1. As many have stated the idea is done very often and very rarely executed well. (Exception to that statement is UNSC Range 1 by Devinish)

    2. Though the concept is good, the idea of sending fusion coils in a set path towards the person can make this an easy challenge for a decent sniper trying to perfect his shot (though it looks to be a good basis for newer snipers to improve their skill)

    3. I would recommend the use of multiple trajectories. This could be accomplished by a Sort of Min/max system making the next fusion coil random and instant. with this system everytime you shot the next fusion coil would launch. You could also make the fusion coils "Avoid" the shot by placing pieces of cover or changes of direction in the path of the coil to make the sniper adjust to moving targets.

    Killnon2: It definitely took me over 30 seconds. Maybe an hour or two...but I'm not very experienced with forge.

    WyntersByte: Thanks for the suggestions. I had played around with adding additional man cannons to make it harder, but the man cannons increased the velocity so much it was pretty much impossible. I like the idea of cover to complicate it a bit, and I'll play around with different angles for a new version. I think I'll make one side into a 'hard', and one side 'easy'. I'll also play with the min/max a bit more. Thanks for the input!

    looks like it would be sort of boring to do. not much fun 2/5 didnt take much to make it either.

    The idea in this map is pretty good ..
    However if i went and made it now i would add a tower where you snipe the fusion coils from ..
    I just think it would be better as you snipe from on place ..
    Good job though ..

    looks ok 2/5 not much time put into it at all, very casual but i have seen way better there are no walls at all

    Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I've made a new version including a lot of suggestions, and the link is on my original post, as well as new screenshots. Thanks for the input!

    I am a south park kid / boydy / Saint Prodigy: My purpose wasn't to spend a lot of time, or make it really 'fun'...it's to spend a few mins each day before playing to improve your aim without being embarrassed in something like SWAT. My aim is terrible, and this has helped me improve. Halo's a lot more fun when you're winning!
