Wouldn't it be awesome if there was such a console that had a six disc changer? You wouldn't even have to get up to swap discs. Discuss.
Nah we arnt lazy, it would be so much easier if we could do that. I dont mind getting up and changing the disc, but this would give us more time to play and yeah it would just be easier in general
That is actually a great idea... +rep for you! But I don't think they could make a USB thing for this. You would have to send it in and get the whole drive changed... Maybe the next console!
Good idea (funny you should say this, cause in the hotel room I am in, we have a DVD that holds 6 disks XD, and it is kinda wierd) but it would be larger and bulkier. They'd have to make the system large enough to hold 6 disks in a single tray, and a mechanism to spin said tray to select individual disks (modeling my idea after this dvd player in my room). Although convenient, I don't know if it would compromise for the size.
I agree with others that the system would be much larger in size than the usual system size we have now. It's a great idea and I'm amazed as to the fact that the gaming companies haven't thought about using it yet. Also, I'm not lazy, I just don't like to get up from my nice comfy recliner while playing a game.
Yeah that would be tight! I only have to go like a half a foot to change mine but yeah that would be really great!
It would be a nice feature, but no thanks if durability is at risk, we don't need another faulty game console. I'd rather Microsoft focus on other more important things for the next console such as better graphics and no more freaking RRoD.
No need for something like this when we are starting to not even need hard copies any more. I say stop releasing CD's and start releasing something like a USB stick with the game on it. Obviously not just a plain old USB stick but something similar. Much more compact, it wont get scratched and you just plug it in then =] One step further you could have like the dock kinda thing hidden away with all your games "plugged in" and the actual console separately located somewhere else. Attached via cord or wirelessly =]
It'd mean it'd be more expensive. Instead of pay an extra like $40 I'd rather get up, take 4 steps, bend down, swap discs, take 4 steps back and sit down. It'd be practical but eh, I'm not fussed.
It would be awesome then the console would be big .. I wouldn't mind like 3 .. Then it can still be decently small .. =]
