I've been planning with my buds to go see Projekt Revolution next month. Only problem is I haven't asked my dad yet if I can go. Its a 4 hour drive there.

Anyways, I know I'm responsible enough to go, I'm 16. I get good grades and whatever, and do as I'm told most of the time.

My dad's not really that strict, he let me bike to the movie theater with some friends of mine and back. It took us 35 minutes to get there and it was a 10 mile ride.

But, I don't want him to say no, because we have planned this since the beginning of the summer.

We have three people that can drive. Me, my friends brother and my other friend. So if we get tired, we can switch drivers. No big deal. Also, we planned out our route and everything. We no exactly how long it will take to get there, and how much money we need for gas.

I'm stoked to go, but I just don't know how to approach my dad to ask him about it.

I've never been to a concert out of state before. Actually I've never been anywhere out of state without my parents or my brother.

But, we have the whole deal planned out. If we are too tired to drive back up after the concert, we are going to stay at my friends uncle's house for the night.

Anyways, how should I approach my dad?

maybe inform him of the concert, and ask his opinion on allowing you to go?

Well, it seems like you thought this out. Just show that to him, and explain to him how much effort and organization you put into this, from gas to driving. It proves maturity, and if he is slack, he should be cool with it, and might be impressed.

Ask when he's in a happy mood.
Start by saying that you have grown up alot. Then go onto explain that your friends are going to projekt revolution then tell him thay you were invited to go with them. Tell him that they have it all organised and that you won't be drinking at all. I hope this helps this is what i use and my parents are letting go over to Ireland to see muse (I live in scotland).

Yeah that's what I was thinking of doing.

Projekt Revolution is going to be sweet. Are you going?

Also I could sneak out, I've done it before, but never for that long. It could be anywhere from 12 hours to 2 days. I don't know, so he'd most likely find out. Then I'd be in deep ****.

Don't tell him, leave and come back.
